I have never tried a mall version of the ecig. My first was the 510 and then onto the eGo. So far, I've converted 4 friends, my daughter's friend and husband, 7 co-workers, and a woman at wally world. My daughter's friend was going to try the Blu cig but I talked her into the 510 instead. So far, she has been very happy with it. You would think that in today's time of computers and internet, people would shop around before buying.

Ya but for every One person that finds this forum...how many dont and think ecigs are a complete scam?

Probably, but many of them end up re-discovering them later when they find out that the one they tried wasn't the only kind on the market. To me, that says that they at least saw the potential.

Some of this issue of whether people think e-cigs are a scam (after buying from malls) will be resolved with technology. The highest end top of the line PC even 15 years ago is worth maybe $10 now - if you could sell it.

I started a company about 15 years ago and paid over $3000 per PC and that was AFTER shopping. If I had those same PC's today they would literally have zero value.

The mall types are the low end "pc" compared to today's models - but may be better than the "best" on the market not long ago. Things change.

Point being, even someone that buys a very low end PC (or E-Cig) today may get frustrated with it - but they should be able to see the potential. And they will keep looking....

Just remember that for most, that first e-cig buy was an impulse buy as well. For that vast majority, they had already tried repeatedly to stop smoking, and e-cigs were another attempt in that battle. Only this time, so many do see that there is for the first time a real possibilty that this might be something real. They may or may not be dissappointed with that first impulse buy, but it does set them on the search about e-cigs. Many will find their way here, many more will not. But as e-cigs improve, even the ones in mall kiosks will improve as well, still over-priced for the most part, but more apt to keep people really looking for a better product.

I am a mall kiosk "sucker" and spent $160 on a Smoking Everywhere package about a month ago - I think it is an RN4081 which I still use at times.

I could have kicked myself when I came home and found this forum - I had no idea that there was something better available.

I now have a Joye510 and really like it and will probably get an EGO in the next month or so.

I have went from 2 PAD to 3-4 analogs per day. I went a whole 7 days without any analogs but I felt I was missing something while I was trying to find the right combination/flavor to vape. So I am trying to wean myself a little slower now - at least I think it's a BIG improvement!

Anyway - I now look at it like this: If I hadn't bought the mall kit I would have never researched and found this place and I would have spent the money on cartons of analogs anyway!

That's a great attitude to have! I didn't have money to waste on doing it wrong, so I spent months researching, found this site very early on in the process and finally took the plunge after trying it at the mall after buying my daughters wedding dress:ohmy::ohmy:. I didn't have $50 to spend no way was I going to be talked into buying a $150 kit. I started with a 510 and have added 2 ego batteries and some carts and cartos along the journey. I haven't added it up but I've probably only spent about $150. I will probably look at mixing my own liquid eventually but the outlay for that seems a bit high for this unemployed household.

The 4081 is not that bad from what I hear. Far better than an E9 if I had to guess. Regardless, the amount you have cut down on analogs is awesome!

I wasn't a mall kiosk sucker...I was the infomercial sucker. Of course it was absolutely awful and sent me on my research journey. I never would have found ECF or my eGo otherwise. Now all is good. lol!

See, they did you a favor - well other than money. It was still far better that you watched the infomercial and ordered than not.

That's how I found ecf. The mall kiosk tried selling me one and even though I liked it I wasn't going to pay that much so I went home, got on the computer and the rest is history.

I did the exact that thing you did. In fact, the mall kiosk guy specifically told me if I found one on-line it would be a rip-off and an inferior device. That statement alone confirmed to me that this guy was the one trying to rip me off. And as we all know, he was.

Wow, never knew that there are infomercials on e-cigs. I guess the bigger question is why am I not doing one?? lol They seem to work....

Earlier I was trying to help someone that bought a "mall" type of e-cig and was frustrated for various reasons. This thought came to me - do NOT be upset or mad about what you paid or the quality of what you bought - be thankful!!!

The reason is simple. Sure, you may not like what you paid. You may be totally unhappy with the vaping experience it gives you. You wish you had found this forum before you bought it.

But here is the REALITY. You would NOT have found this forum otherwise. You would not have started vaping otherwise. You would be smoking analogs like crazy right NOW and not vaping.

So even if you NEVER ever use your "mall" cig again - and through it in the trash - consider it a blessing. The money you spent was the beginning of an education - and got you started on the right path off analogs.

Be thankful.

Hehehe, i was lucky enough to have met some people that were in the loop with this forum before purchasing one elsewhere.

That being said, i am an e-cig user (of course) and my wife found that there was a kiosk at the mall for the e-cig's. To be fair, they had excellent products. They had the 510, the eGo, the 901 and a wide variety of 100% PG flavored juices in 10 ml bottles available. Needless to say, i was stoked! A supplier close to me, who sells decent stuff!? No more mail orders??

Hehehe, lets just say he wanted 26 USD for a 510 atomizer.

I think it is appropriate to be upset, or at least dissapointed, after that.

They pay something crazy like 5-10k/month in rent for those little kiosks. Have to make the money back some how!

I actually talked a guy at one of those kiosks down to $30 from $60 for a 510 auto battery at one point because my ego batteries were both dead and I had a 30 minute drive home. I told him I'd buy if he'd go down to $20. He wouldn't so I didn't.

WomanofHeart and I almost bit the lure on a kiosk-set of e-cigs. The salesman was a real stand-up dude who let us have a cartomizer all to ourselves, each, for just 2 dollars. If I hadn't had that low-priced opportunity to actually physically taste, feel, enjoy the vape personally, I don't think I would have been so gung-ho about making the lifestyle change.

Regardless, I am thankful that we were able to avoid the 460$ pricetag for the two of us to get started MALL SMOKE style. But at the same time, I feel bad for Chad, who is probably struggling to get meaningful commissions with such a high-priced product in an economy that has developed an allergy to disposable income and a severe 'impulse purchase' phobia.

Poor guy. Oh well, sucks to be him, now, how about these EGOs, right? Yahoo? YAHOO!

lol Yep. (Smokeless Delite?) I saw it late one night for just a minute then walked away. The next day I kept thinking about it and hit the internet to find out more. Unfortunately, I didn't understand what I was looking for and ended up buying a pack of terrible tasting disposable e-cigs. I continued looking and POOF! Found ECF.
