Interesting stuff, especially since the participants claimed success with regular and flavored coffee grounds.

Just be aware that the natural coffee flavours are coil cloggers. If the higher maintenance doesn't bother you then go for it - I've heard good things about this method too.

I appreciate the reminder. I guess it's a good thing my first rba is in the mail!

Way off topic; I wonder if a centrifuge would help remove the particulate, and I wonder if the remaining liquid would still have flavor.
Hmmm.
I also wonder how bad of a beating I'd receive after proposing this to my wife. :D

Coffee was my starter e-juice, and I'm looking forward to making my own as well. That said, have you looked into making your own coffee extract? Somewhere in the course of my research I found a discussion about using PG, coffee, and a microwave to create said extract. Interesting stuff, especially since the participants claimed success with regular and flavored coffee grounds.

Yum.

I didn't order any coffee flavors 'cause I really want to try this. Yay! Another experiment I don't have time for!

I have seen it mentioned somewhere. But like you it's yet another experiment! Lol! I thought it might be easier to try & mix my own. Ill have to read up & see what I can find though!

cinn. danish- good not exacty right yet
apple cinn danish- not bad needs a bit more work
gummy bear- decent needs more work
fruit punch- work in progress
apple pie ala mode - steeping

I haven't made anything gross or drain worthy,

Yes, the natural flavours are extracted into the PG, you want to remove all of the sediment if you can. Most seem to recommend filtering through coffee filter paper after steeping the grounds for the required time but the PG may be a bit thick. You could use some 400 S/S mesh to filter - that's actually what it was intended for; filtering thicker liquids in the laboratory.

Centrifuging first would be helpful if you have one, because it may keep the bulk of the sediment out of the filter and so speed up the filtration. I've just received some FA natural coffee flavouring and will be trying it in my one and only ADV recipe. Coffee is one of the adjunt flavourings I use in it, just a few drops. I'm hoping it doesn't clog the coils in such a small concentration and that the natural flavouring adds a little more complexity to the current recipe.

I just do tiny little tweeks to this one now.

My wife now knows that I'm an inveterate tinkerer. She no longer worries, gets upset, or indeed notices if it's not otherwise causing a problem. I could probably dismantle almost any household appliance and retask it into something else for two days without causing much comment.

Can you have her call my wife and convince her it's not something worth getting upset about? :p

My wife is a school teacher so she has a healthy distrust for human nature, and is unlikely to comply. You'll have to do the convincing yourself. If you ever hear anyone say "put down the screwdriver and step away from the particle accelerator" then you can be fairly sure you are in trouble however.

OOTP:

The natural coffee flavour I have is TFA, not FA (easy to get confused, I buy so many) and I've just made up a 10ml batch of light horse using it instead of the light coloured one I was using. The natural flavouring is as black as tar. 1 drop in 10ml isn't very much but it has imparted a more espresso note to the liquid rather than the instant coffee flavour note I was getting. I might go to 2 drops, especially since a two week steep seems to hide the coffee note and bring the tobacco note forward. I'll vape a bit more of this one first however, it's very good.

Just tested my first 2 mini mixes! Probably nothing exciting to most but they're my first so I'm pretty excited! The first was simple, orange cream. It's delicious & ready to vape right now! The next one is strawberries & sweet cream. It's good but it needs something. I'm going to let the flavors blend a little bit more & test it again before I use any flavor enhancers.

A few drops of vanilla are good if you want to round the finish off a little. The grahame racker smoothes and fills out the middle. EM (cotton candy) can sweeten a juice but I don't like it much as it makes the vape taste a bit slimy.

The trick with adjucnt flavouring is to use such a tiny about that it doesn't take over, but sits in the distant background and just adds a character note to the flavour.

A good way to learn about a flavour is to vape it at just 5%or less for a little while, a few ml. Once you do that you will find uses for the flavour will just suggest themselves.

Thanks Fabricator! I'm mainly doing single flavor mixes until I get the hang of things & to kinda test out some of these flavors to figure out what works well with them. I decided to get a little adventurous with one because I wanted just this kind of advice!! Thanks a bunch!

With everything you ordered, and no coconut? One of my favorites is pineapple and coconut!

Don't know what kind if flavorings are in the pineapple juice I used to buy but this TFA pineapple is delicious less than 24 hours after mixing it! Think ill whip up another & add peach!!

Lol! Oddly enough I love coconut in food but I have yet to like it in a vape. I probably should get some at some point to see if I like it in one of my own mixes.

Did you get mango? Pinnapple and mango would work nice maybe. I used the pinnapple in the fruit punch I was playing with.

That's another flavor I was on the fence about. I've tried several mango flavors & didn't like any of them so I decided against it. :(

I used 10%. I read somewhere that I should start with 5% but I like a lot of flavor. That seems to be just right for me but I was wondering if most people consider that to be a lot.

Seems to be dependent on the flavor from what I have gathered. But over FLAVORING is bad. That's where the flowers and chemical taste come from

Yeah I've read about some DIY over flavoring disasters. I've seen where some people go over 20% percent but like you said I guess it depends on the flavors. 10 seems to be just right so far. But who knows lol! I'm still experimenting so I'm sure it's subject to change.
