I traded a 3 cartons for a used 430 ex II flash from someone at work. I actually feel I got the better deal :p Oddly enough seeing me vape away at my desk has now piqued his interest and his kit should be here this week(he picked up the $25 510 kit from TV). I love the flash though, first time I've ever played with a remote slave flash and it plays very nice with my 580 ex II :D

When I had my heart attack I had no less than 6 cartons of analogs from king soopers grocery. Told Wifey to take um back for a refund. She did, but they gave her heck cause evidently I'd purchased cartons from several different KS groceries. Wifey's tough as nails. . .she got her refund for all 6 cartons from one store. Tole um she didn't give a damn which KS I'd purchased them from it was the same chain and she wanted a refund for all the cartons. She got it, and she didn't refund anything to me. 41 years of marital bliss. . .what can I say?

Cheers,

They will last forever..... remember all the 4k chemicals? One of those chems (formaldahide) keeps'em fresh forever. Do a test, you'll see. Days of stale analogs went away in the 70's

I've been analog free for (see banner below) and still have an unopened carton left over. I don't know what to do with them either. I really don't want to just throw them away, but they might be getting too old/stale to be any good.

Anyone have any idea how long unopened packs last?

I had 7 cigarettes left when I got my first kit. I felt pretty good about vaping and knew it was what I wanted to do, but I freaked out and bought another pack, "just in case". Had technical issues with attys later that week so I had to buy another pack. I got my 510 when I had 10 cigarettes left in that second pack. Smoked 1 cigarette a day, even though they got yuckier and yuckier. (I can't stand to throw anything out!!) I was so happy when I smoked the last one because I couldn't stand it anymore.

It's been over 2 months now, and haven't even had a craving.

i smoked what i had left. so in the first 6 weeks of vaping, i smoked 5 analogs spread out through that time period. not a bad turnover and i never felt like it was cold turkey. possibly also because i was still using an xhale o2 unit. now that i have a 510 i dont even look back and i have no cravings for the analogs at all. i am, however, hotboxing the 510 like its cool. i sneek a drag in between patients throughout my day. and after the kids fall asleep, im a fog machine. hahaha

had a total of about 7 smokes left put them in the freezer but found reason to smoke them, so I did over the course of about a week and bit. I found having analogs in the house triggerred me to make excuses to smoke them. Now I simply don't buy any and hey presto my reasoning to smoke an analog doesn't outweigh the effort of going out and buying them :p

I have about half a carton left that I'll probably keep around since I did the vaping thing once for about 6 months then went back to the cigs for a few months, but now that I'm @ 6 volts I just may give them away.

I'm not sure what all this talk from people about them going stale is. I once found half a carton still in an old house I'd moved out of that I use for storage now, and I smoked them all. It had been 2 years since I'd moved out so they were at least that old, if not older. I guess smoking old cigs have just never bothered me. There have been times when going to work on the road I'd stock up 30 cartons to take with me.
