So how much do I love the Fountain V2 & being a converted Bottom Feeder now? This much!

Wow!!! That looks great with the black Kato

The contrasting black and silver is just gorgeous! Perfect match, like they were made for each other :thumb:

I ordered a few of these. Close as I can tell, they should fit. Will have to drill side air holes of course, but I have a set of diamond Dremel bits that should do the trick. Will post again when they come in.

So, here're my thoughts.

What we have is not a clone or an authentic. It's actually a prototype put out by a company to trick hobbyists into beta'ing the device. They read about not having spare parts in it and started shipping with spare parts. They read about our love for the wolf and included a free 3 wolf moon shirt gave us a the new "super hero" version because super heroes are awesome and we like such things cuz "hulk smash". And, we just love that as much as the wolf. Now they're going over @TheWestPole 's design changes and in a few months there will be an authentic version and 2.5 months after that there will be the black version we all wish we had.

I'm betting 5 internets that my theory plays out to be true.
Man, I'd love it if it played out that way. I don't mind the limited $ I spend on atomizers, but the $$$ for tools and time to do modifications is something else.

I hope that is true.
I picked one up
and this thing gets HOT at .35ohm

there are many changes that need to be made in addition to TheWestPole's changes

Basically, this thing would be perfect if they just slapped a Velocity on top of it.
Tighter Bell cap to the deck, so it doesn't come off as easily.
Needs to be the height of the Velocity and have the same type grooved drip tip

Right now I have a single coil off to one side
24G , 8 wraps spaced , 0.64 ohm
both air holes are open.
sigelei 150W TC running at 24W

The draw is tighter than I like. But, this thing seems to be working.
Not as much vapor as I normally get. But it's not bad either.
This thing can be made to work.

But, it does need improvements.

And stop using Phillips screws. Grub Screws please.

again, slap a Velocity to the top and you have a perfect Sqounk Atty.
They could even do the Velocity Mini maybe.

Unfortunately, I don't think this is a modification we could make.
Not enough metal on the Velocity to mill out, and also accommodate the bottle as well.

However, the ones making these could do it.
It would add a little height to it, but not too much if they switch to the Velocity Mini style.

Personally the height would not bother me.

Love the Velocity but want to squonk it, dripping gets old after a while, and not easy when driving.

I know there is a squonk pin for the Velocity. but I don't have a Squonk Mod.
Probably order one and try to figure something out to use on any mod.

The Skyfall squonk module is supposed to work on any BF atty. Gotta buy the whole unit though, at least for time being.

I may pick up the Skyfall then if that's the case, a more secure "squonk tank" option would be preferred as long as the flavor is there. That Skyfall sure looks more complicated than it needs to be though!

Yeah, it's heavy, complicated and my intuition says the pump would be less trouble free than Fountain's bottle feed, which functions well IMO. I'm gonna live with Fountain's limitations for now and try to make it as good as it can be for me.

Best deal on the Skyfall I've seen so far:

The Skyfall pump is MUCH more complicated then the squeeze bottle. I can't get mine to pump. It gets stuck in the down position. I've taken it apart a few times now and suspect the oring being to tight, I lubbed it as well. So far a waste of $40. I have the V2, and have yet to try it, but I'm familiar with bottles, as I own a REO.

Thanks for the info. I'm not surprised.

Bummer, but I may pick one up anyway after the first of the year if they are still around.

So, I looked at your older posts TheWestPole, about how you used Polycarbonate to build a new tank.
Do you have a link for the correct size etc? Temp limit appears to be about 275F, worried I might melt that though.

The Kanger Subtank Mini glass fits perfectly. I am thinking I am going to try and cut slits or drill holes in one a little high
Lift the coils a bit off the deck and see if that will work with a .3ohm dual.
This thing gets hot otherwise.

Only other issue is the fact it does come a apart easily.

I just put a .45 dual coil 26awg build in mine, I really love this atty minus the loose top. I'm using mine in the Kato clone, fortunately the mod wraps around the tank right where it sits on the deck. When I flew to Vegas last week I put a little electrical tape on the glass by the base & top cap, didn't move at all but I was worried the tape would melt. I didn't use it enough to tell but it didn't melt with the use I did give it.

I watched a YouTube on the Skyfall & it doesn't look like it will work for me.

Never gets anywhere near melt temp. (When is your tank ever so hot you can't touch it?) I've been using it on Fountain for weeks and other tanks for a year.
