Thanks for all the responses - really useful! I did have my mind set on the Provari but I am beginning to wonder whether this is overkill - especially as I have never tried an electronic cigarette before..

I guess my greatest concern is that if I were to start on the low end that the experience would vary significantly from smoking conventional cigarettes in which case I may not stick with it..

How does the ego twist compare with the provari? Is there a big difference?

On a separate note- can anyone comment on the health benefits from making the switch to vaping e.g. Increased sense of smell and taste, increased stamina etc?

Cheers!

My advice would be not to start with the Ego products. I did and my experience was that the batteries didn't last and the center posts on the ego's were prone to break. I also thought about buying a Provari but was held back by the price. I bought a L Rider Lambo and I wish I had bought it from day 1. Very sturdy design and Vapes great, much better than the Ego's I have.

I was a heavy smoker. Smoking two packs per day and since three months I haven't smoked one analog cigarette. I feel that my health has improved a lot. No more coughing at all, much more air in my lungs, just feel much fitter.

I would start with a good e cigarette setup. Something like the L rider Lambo with a vivi nova. It's worth the money and will keep you off analog cigarettes

I don't think going straight for the provari is a good idea.. I think the provari's really meant for high-voltage vapers, and if you're new, how sure are you that you're gonna like a high volt vape? You could probably be just as happy with a ego variable voltage batt and a stardust at less than a quarter of the cost!
