I just made the switch this week. Still getting used to it and think it is definitely an acquired taste. I need some time to experiment with PG/VG %s, different e liquids, nic levels, etc. before I can see myself eliminating analogs completely.

Until you figure out if vaping will be an adequate substitute for you, you may want to start out with something a little less expensive. I went for an eGo c Twist with a few clearomizers and am happy with it thus far.

I agree totally 100%! I have a twist a pass thru, and a few that came with my e go t starter kit! The clearo's along with those batt's are a great place to start!!! Good luck! Welcome!

Hello all

I've been browsing the threads on this forum over the last few days and have decided to make the leap to Vaping! It makes sense to me as it is the Nicotine that I am addicted to and not all the other rubbish!

So, I wanted to drop by and say hello. I'm sure it will be a pleasure to make your acquaintance as I develop upward and onward from Newbie status!

Cheers

RS

Cheers to you, and congratulations! I've been using my atomizers for about two and half weeks now, and cigarette-free for 14 days. My only regret is not having done it sooner. All the best to you! :)

As a new Provari owner I can say its worth the money you pay for it. With that said I would also say to follow what everyone else is saying and try a Twist or Spinner first...you might not even like it. You can still get tanks, attys, cartos or whatever and they will work on a Provari if you move up. The hardest thing is finding the right juice for you. I've bought waaaay too many bottles from different places to find the right ones for me; even the same flavors from different places will taste different.

If you go with a Twist, or Spinner you are still starting off better than I'm sure a lot of us did :) I'm probably going to buy a spinner as a backup and to see if its easier to carry around...I feel kind of dorky walking around with a holster for my Provari.

Kinda newbie here too, been vaping about 5 weeks. My best advice is find a brick and mortar store that know something if you can, I started at the local smoke shop with green cigs (down $40) the hit a local cigar shop and bought an infeeling salute, kind of a piece of junk and $100 buck more spent, the drove and extra hour min out of the way and hit a local vape shop and spent another $100 on stuff but now have a setup that I think will last for a while, totally modular and upgradable as I progress, ego type batteries, ego cc clearomizers with replaceable coils and some juice tasting! It was really nice to have someone explain all the bits and differences!

Welcome! I also started vaping to quit smoking, after a few months of vaping and smoking together, I purchased some good quality supplies and I'm not looking back. I started with greensmoke, then bought an Apollo extreme kit which opened my eyes to the joys of vaping. Since the Apollo I've gone on to an ego twist battery (variable voltage) and a few different cartomizers/tanks. I'd have to recommend going with a simple ego battery or even the twist version for some additional tweaking. You'll also want to play around with some different flavours and mixes of PG and VG, I find anything more than 50% VG to be virtually flavourless, but I'm told this may not be everyone's experience.

Read the boards and ask questions from some reputable online dealers along with this forum and you'll be off the analogs in no time. Good luck!

Yes..for a newbie or a beginner....still its best to go straight to vv mods (Variable volatage mods)..this will definitely keep you vaping and forget your analogues...try not to go for the low end types...go for either the lavatube, some called it apollo this and that or a smaller version the ego twist....All these will give ur the Throat Hit you need and u will forget your analogues...cheers

From what I find out....if you like the sweet spot of temperature...u can go for the VW mods (Variable Wattage)..then this type will automatically adjust the voltage needed such as the Zmax. But from what I hear the Zmax gives out a higher voltage even though you set it at for example maybe 3.0v but actual reading would be 3.5 or 3.7. I am not sure myself but this is what I found out from the net but to me its no big deal....If you want to play with voltage then u get the lava or the appollo they are the same actually...now they have the new version lavatube 2.1 which is in stainless steel and i think they got rid of the red button and the center pin goes back to the normal flat head pin and not spring loaded...hmmm i wonder why they changed it...i still prefer the spring loaded versions...cos always in contact..cheers

I had my heart set on the Ego-Twist starter kit (1100mah) with a Viva Ego Mini tank.. however, I've been persuaded to consider a CE4 Starter kit with a Ego Twist battery upgrade and CE4 changeable coil versions.

In earnest the "CE4 Changeable coils" confuses me.. Is this better than what is included within the Ego-Twist kit? Is there a major difference between the Ego Twist and CE4.

Thoughts appreciated!

I don't know what a CE4 is, but I cant tell you that I love my Vivi Novas, and they work great on a Twist (or so I'm told, I don't have one.)

the nova works great on any vv device...as when you rebuild the coils they could be any resistance, and if you wind a coil to high,a fixed voltage device might not put out the juice to push it properly...not saying you couldn't, but vv is simply better for a device like that, where the resistance can be a wide range of things after a rebuild.
