Smoked a pack a day and took up vaping 3 years ago. I started with a local company with a cig like 808 with cartridges. Moved from that to another cig like 510 auto battery with tanks and atomizers. Purchased an ego twist for use at home with vision mini nova's, kanger t3's, and kanger evod's for using on the road and at home. While at work I still use the 510 auto battery with Vision Nano 510 Clearomizer's. One thing that really helped me personally was not using tobacco flavored liquid (it seemed to make me crave the real thing more). I use fruit flavors mostly and some dessert flavors. Congrats on being smoke free and rest assured it gets easier.

I ordered a Halo G6 starter kit and started using that while still smoking 3 cigs a day. I had a shoulder replacement surgery on the 4th day, came home the same day, smoked 1 cig a day while using my e-cig, ordered 2 spinners and some clearos, some liquid, got them in 3 days and started using them. I was totally off cigs after the 3 days of only 1 cig a day. That was almost 2 months ago and I've never had a craving for a cig since. I started out on 18mg. nic juice and the first week I was shaky and didn't feel great, but I had just had major surgery...pretty sure I was detoxing at the same time. I vaped like a chimney and ordered 12 mg. juice and got started on that right away. I've used 12mg. since but just ordered 6mg. for nights so I don't stay awake all night. I power vape at night mostly now, not as much during the day. I use the 2 vision spinners and have about 30 different flavors of liquids to satisfy all of my taste cravings. It was super easy for me....and this was after not even planning on totally quitting, only cutting back. I smoked for over 30 years!! miracle stuff!!! Congrats on your days free from analogs. You can do this!! :)

Hey all the reason I am starting this post is because
as we make the transition from analogs do vaping
I would like to know what others have gone through
or are going through.

I am on day 6. My reason for wanting to know is because when I woke up
this morning I had a very strong urge for an analog. Of course since
I didn't have any I started vaping.
My only guess is that while I am still getting the nicotene
is that my body is detoxing the other crap that is in analogs.

Please share I am sure that this will help the very very new
such as myself and others understand the transition process
better helping us all have continued success....

Thanks

my biggest problem was i kept waking up in the middle of the night and never slept that good i actually just had my first good night sleep last night. i woke up around 4-5?? times a night
and i stop smoking 25 days ago??
other then that i think that's my only side effect that i had from not smoking

and the only time i DIE and FREAK out for a cigarette is if i am drinking

At first, I over used my vape ( I guess I was a little to excited) and ended up really hurting my throat. This kept me off of my vape for about a week. I then alternated between my vape and analogs for quite some time, but each time I smoked a cigarette I liked it a little bit less. Now I am totally off analogs and love my vape.

-Quick tip- Don't try to give up smoking completely once you have received your first kit! I tried and I ended up going right back to smoking (this was when I had my first experience with ecigs and I got one from a kiosk in the mall and wanted to quit on that, very bad mistake!)

But when I got a real pv and went about doing as much research as possible and doing things the "proper" way, I basically just cut my analog use down slowly. I wasn't in a big rush...I mean I had smoked for this long, what's another week or so?

-Second Quick Tip- The first couple days are the hardest at first, occupy your time as much as you possibly can. Sleep all day, do yard work, work an extra shift or a few hours later, hang out with friends, go to birthday parties/parties in general, balance your checkbook...you get the picture.

After that just remember, everytime you want to smoke, vape a good bit until you don't want to anymore.

But that's how I pretty much went about switching. Figured I would throw in some quick tips in there.
