The biggest part i think is start mixing flavors you like against something you can compare against, and start off with small batches with no nic. So far I have made 4 custom flavors that were requests from friends of mine and have 7 flavors that I make and donate regularly on ElixirTV.com I have 3 more requested flavors to make and then I will start mixing experimental flavors again. My next flavors are cherry jaegerbomb, Darth Cookie (choc chip cookie flavor), and a Samoas cookie(like the Girlscouts sell) flavor.

This link has the exact same recipes that the I-Phone app does. I have tried a couple of the recipes using the E juice me Up calculator and they came out great so just thought this link might be helpful.

Sweet Morning Vape

I started DIY several weeks ago and honestly I don't find it that hard. When I first started I only blended single flavors i. e., Capella's banana split or Red Bull or Capella's redhot candy. I use 80 PG and 20 VG and never use water or PGA. I always start with 10 percent flavoring and work my way up or down. I don't use any nic in my recipe until I'm happy with it and that tip was given to me in the DIY thread. I use a 4 ML syringe and a 1 ML syringe to measure so that I can be accurate. I hate for anyone to give up. Just try to mix some simple flavors and use precise measuring and the E juice Me Up Calculator. It's easy so your measurements will be accurate. DIY is not hard if you ask questions and use correct measuring and calculations. Just keep trying and post on the forum your amounts that you used and what seems to be wrong with the final product and we can help you figure it out. I'm by no means an expert. I am new too. I know anyone can do this if I can.

I think that is a lot of the issue Sooner. people try to mix some outrageous flavors befor they really get the hang of it. it really is pretty hard to mess up a single flavor or double flavor juice with flavors you are familiar with like say orange creamscicle. it's really just orange and vanilla and maybe some sweetner. Now I wouldn't recommend trying a five flavor mix until you are up to speed. My most complicated juice has 9 flavors in it and it took me about 2 months of mixing 5ml batches to get it just right. The problem with small test batches and multiple flavors is really accuracy, and the 1ml syringe is really your friend.

Agreed Quikwgn. I could not do without my 1 ml. syringe. It is a mixer's best friend when mixing small batches. I think if you start mixing 1 or 2 flavor juices and figure out how to calculate amounts and measure very accurately and get used to the process it is easy. You also have to have patience with yourself. If something does not taste right and you can't figure out why, step away from it for a day. Too much flavor can be as bad as too little. I can't imagine 9 flavors in a juice. You must be good!

It's a tropical rum drink flavor. Kind of a cross between a fuzzy navel/sex on the beach/bahama mama. I make a lot of DIY that I do for contest giveaways and a couple of vendors have asked me to make prototype juices for them. I almost went to culinary school instead of college so I take the same approach to prototyping juice as I would developing a new entree recipe.
