Well after much back and forth and worry and wonder, I finally ordered. I went with the Joye 510 from Cignot and had to get a few extras from another website. Price was a big factor since I was ordering for me and hubby and I was able to get 2 starter kits, extra empty cartridges, liquid, car chargers and cases for a little over 100 dollars......I hope we made the right choice but like I say price was the final deciding factor :( If I like I am def gonna purchase a kr8 from V4L but for now to get our feet wet I think I made the right choice :)

Sweet :) Good idea to start with a cheap kit from a reliable company too.
I love my 510 (apart from the battery life lol) but I have the PT rather than PCC as it suits my needs better. Lots of people love their PCC though (and car chargers) as they get out a lot more.
Don't forget to get the primer out when it comes, blow it out, dont wash it, and there will probably be a bit of charge in one of the batteries you can get a little vape in. But not before you get the primer out!
And gets ome good juice. GOod juice make a HUGE difference in the vaping experience.
Oh and don't smoke it like you would a cig - its a longer slower draw.
Let us know when you get it!

As a V4L KR808 user, congrats. I'm sure you will like the 510, as many others do. It's easy to get caught up in all the opinions on this board, but the important thing is to get vaping. From my perspective, it's kind of like the Wisconsin vs Illinois rivalry around these parts, but were all still proud Americans! I hope you enjoy the experience, good luck

Well scratch the last post :( Hubby saw what I ordered and hit the roof, I had shown him the PV and things from V4L and he said he thought that was who I was ordering from, so now I have to try to cancel the order and I will have to wait to order from V4L until I know the other order cancelled :( Should have just sucked it up and spent the little extra money in the first place :(

Congrats on your purchase and happy vaping :)

You made the right choice with the 510 and buying from the ladies at Cignot. It's sort of the benchmark here and is the most popular for a good reason. I couldn't be happier with mine. Welcome to the hobby!

EDIT: I just saw that post above, how come your hubby was upset with your purchase? I hope you guys sort it out. Cignot has some of the best service I've ever experienced online and the 510 won't let you down, you'll be spending less, getting more performance vs. the KR8, and shipping from the girls is FAST. Stick with your order and best of luck!

I also went with the KR808 from V4L and I love it but have nothing to compare it to. (other than trying the very expensive model green nicotine at the mall once)

I bought the Ultimate Ultimatum Manual Kit and YES it is wonderful ~ but I find that it came with MORE accessories and gadgets than I need (which is cool though because now I have some to share with friends who want to quit) I don't know if you are on a budget, or if you are ready to invest in the full kit.

(If your on a budget ~ PM me and I will make a recommendation that I make for my friends on a budget.)

The customer service and the quality of the products I have recieved has so far always been excellent.

I also started out like you absolutely NOT interested in all their fancy and fruity flavors, but after 2 weeks that's ALL I like now! I am having a great time trying out all the yummy "fancy" flavors ~ he he!

I was a pack a day smoker and I started at 11 mg nic carts and now I am re-filling my own carts and moving down to 6 mg and 0 nic juice!

My personal experience with vaping as a means to quit smoking has been an absolute miracle imho. 22 year veteran of smoking analogs and after a few short weeks I can say with 100% surety that I will NEVER go back.

There are Wonderful people on this forum who have helped me and guided me and to whom I am eternally grateful.

Good luck and feel free to PM me, although I am a newb myself!

We talked it over last night and my husband said the 510 looked to big and he would rather have the smaller KR8. So once again here I am with yet another question to add......Is the 510 any larger than the KR8? Its kinda hard to tell just looking at the website, also want to thank everybody for all the helpul advice!!!

I think you will get more answers on the ECF Approved Suppliers page of this forum. There are always lots of users online in the Vapor4Life page, but I did not see Cignot listed as an approved supplier. Again, lots and lots of opinions, but I can absolutely say from my experience that Vapor4Life has been great.

The 510 is very simple to use. It is not big. You can use the pre-filled carts and when they are used up, fill them again with some juice.
I ordered from cignot for myself and for several friends. You can't beat their prices, services, and quick shipping.
Include a bottle of ECOpure e-juice in high to get started as you want to get away from analogues and low nicotine won't help you with that in the beginning.
Tell hubby to forget about trying duplicate the analogue...it is just not going to happen but you can set yourself up to really enjoy vaping INSTEAD of analogues.
For me it is like changing brands of analogues...different but do-able.
Vape On!!!!

OH YEAH... I forgot to mention something!!

Whatever and whoever you decide to order from ~ I would suggest you also buy at least one bottle (5ml should be enough) of E-juice. I found that the carts don't last quite as long as I thought and I found myself sucking on dry carts and had no replacements and had a scary moment (fortunately I got fast shipping and didn't end up with NOTHING to vape...although I have read about it happening to others and they had to resort to analog)

I did not order any juice at first (or second order) because I didn't think I would know how to refill them, but it is actually VERY easy and there are lots of instructional videos about how to do it. It is only an extra couple of bucks and it will be WELL worth the investment, because if your anything like most of us you are going to LOVE vaping!

Anything I can help with please let me know...I was suffering from the exact same overwhelmed feeling just a few short weeks ago!

The 510 is smaller than a kr8. The pics make it look the other way around, but it is a lot smaller. Either one will be good for you, but for different reasons.

510: more vapor, easier to add juice to carts.
kr8: perhaps more flavor (depends on several things), easier to use (2-piece) on the go.

Both ar great PVs. I'm a 510 guy myself. Love it.

Its always best to check here about such details. If you don't have any experience with PVs, the pictures can be misleading. I thought the 510 would be large too. Its about the size of a 100 analog.

To the OP, when I first got into the idea of vaping, I too wanted something looking like a cig and wanted tobacco flavored liquid. Well, when I went to order, I got fruit flavors and a silver bullet. Complete opposite of what I started off wanting. My suggestion: do a TON of research on a ton of different products. Lurk on ECF, build up a lot of backround knowlege. It'll save you money to buy what you know you want then what you think you want. Trust me, appearances don't matter, and as long as you are getting nicotine, differing tastes are all the better. Plus, the one tobacco flavor I did try didn't taste much like it (no actual smoke and less than 4,000 chemicals).

As said above, the 510 is indeed smaller than the KR8, very misleading I know! I was expecting something the size of a sharpie when I ordered mine, and I was pleased to see it's not much bigger than a king size analog :) Its got a nice feel to it and isn't too heavy. Some folks complain the KR8s feel "cheap" to them. Again, my recommendation sticks, get 2 no box starter kits from Cignot and a few bottles of juice (start with high nic). That'll get you going for sure.

UMMMM, I'd never heard of an e-cig till 2/1/10. Early a.m. Ordered the Ultimate kit from Zigcigs at 10:30pm. I wanted it and I wanted it NOW. No time for research. I wanted the 510 N O W!!! I had bronchitis so horribly since last September I just didn't want to feel like I was dying any more.

I've been smoking for 42 years, recently 2 cartons of menthol 120's per week. Yes, that's about 2.85 packs per day. Sometimes I'd run out before "ciggie day" and walk to the store for another pack or two. I'd need a half box of Kleenex every day for the coughing/spitting/blowing that started when they put the fire ......ant or whatever in the cigs. I thought I was dying. Seriously. And I have 6 grandchildren I don't want to leave.

I needed a BIG starter kit for both me and Sweet Hubby. He's lost 20 lbs from his 5'8" frame in the last year...down to 135 lbs. No time to waste.
He's 63 and I'd like for him to stick around for a while. I got my kit at noon on 2/4, and some juice from Johnson Creek at the same time. Haven't set fire to a tobacco cigarette since. Haven't wanted to. Now the only thing I need a Kleenex for...is to clean my atty. I used to keep an empty plastic coffee can next to me for my used Kleenex because I CONSTANTLY blew my nose and coughed stuff up. Now I'm CoffNoMoJo.

Vaping may have saved my life and my Hubby's life. Both my parents died of smoking-related illnesses. Dad died of lung cancer when he was 61. Mom died a horrible death of COPD and MRSA-related pneumonia when she was 78. I don't want to subject my kids to that kind of loss. Maybe it's not too late.

Luvs,
Jo
