It's actually the exact opposite. I vape at about your settings with just a bit more spread (warmer on the mechs and a bit less on var pwr to match apparent temp).
Flavor sensitive people can detect the texture of heat between variables and mechanicals. There are far more of us than people realize. Proof positive…the number of people that enjoy mech's. It's been kind of amusing to watch this discussion the 4 years I've been vaping and not see much discussion as to the "why" of it. In the same way that some prefer to eat their meals cooler than others and get better flavor, the same applies here. So yes, it does affect flavor.
Can you get more flavor out of a cooler vape. The answer is…absolutely. It is
not more power that gets you there.
The closest, smoothest and coolest VW I ever encountered to a mech was the ZNA30. And
that was essentially a mech with a board in it.
