Looking at this pic, the knurled nut is on the neg screw to raise it to the level of the positive.
Here Dan put that brass nut on the positive, raising it higher; and screwed the shorter neg screw back into it's same spot (it's right in front of the wick in this pic). Now the neg is on level with the bottom of the vape chamber and the positive is raised up to accommodate the higher wick position. The NR wire to the positive is to prevent a hot spot going from the pos post to the wick. It looks like the stock wick/coil setup has NR wires already on the coil.
Yeah, let me get one for you. The neg scew is right next to the wick. The reason for the NR wire is so I do not have resistance wire running in open air from the wick to the pos post. The only glowing and resistance I get is wrapped around the wick.

Ahh, okay. I can imagine it now. Can't wait to get mine from the co-op. If I PM some pics of my SVG3, can you offer me some advice on repairing it? I've got a few problems including a slightly bent negative nail/spring terminal, a stuck poly tube due to black o-rings being used instead of the red silicone o-rings, the bottom hole for press fitting a CE2 connector is a bit loose and connectors just slide right in and don't fit snug anymore, and finally, the positive wire is thin and aged and needs replaced. If I send you a couple of shots, can you advise me on some maintenance?

Turn your voltage down a let it break in for a while at a lower voltage. I still see hotspots in the video.
IMO the SS with a small hole wicks much better, the volcanic effect thru the hole moves more juice up the wick, and any fiber wick inside the SS wick just restricts the flow.
I drilled the wick hole with a slight angle toward the positive pole so I would not need the nr wire and left the original air hole. It is working great on a lavatube. I really like the hole right under the wick, gives great TH. Pics tomorrow, camera battery charging.
Yes, the same procedure as Dan with the extended positive pole. Only difference is that I am using the original air hole under the coil so I did not seal this hole.
Don't forget Mickey's mod as a way to get air flow through the center air tube on mods where this may be a problem.

Did you not drill an air hole in plastic heating chamber?
No side hole in the chamber, just used the original from the bottom.
This is my conversion, everything just as Dan explained except I use the original air hole under the coil and slanted the coil to eliminate a long leg. This is so good I doubt I will be doing more cheaplines. Just ordered 5 more of these. Took me 45 min but I am older and slower than Dan.
The line in the second pic is not a wire, just a scratch when the drill bit slipped oops!!

Been vaping it all day and I agree with Dan, it is as good as any genesis I have tried, I have always preferred the "line" because of its small heat chamber, but this with the air hole right under the coil gives the equivalent TH as a "Line". My 6 wraps of 32g gave me a 2.4 ohm and at 4.2v it is giving me the same hit as as the same coil at 5V on the line.

It is a shame these have gotten such a bad rap, even to co-ops canceling them. They will probably not be on the market for long because of the bad rap and biased reviews. Any knowledgeable reviewer would instantly see the modding potential in these. That is a shame because with a simple effort of drilling a 3/32" hole and switching two screws you get a really great genesis mod and you can't beat the price.
