I think I will try those brake honers on the covers. Those threads going all the way up cause a lot of premature condensation.....

I think that may be the biggest cause of my taste issues. Once the condensation starts it multiplies on itself cooling the vape even more.

These pictures are after 30 minutes of vaping. I have ordered some shorter stones for my hone and plan to hone out the threads carefully using a drill press with upper and lower stops

Ok I have been playing around with the 5/8 x 3/4 poly tubing. Since the GTUS threads are 5/8, the tube will either slip on or have very little resistance when screwed on. Rather than have to heat and shrink the whole tube, I used a soldering iron with a small tip and at 3 points melted the poly tubing slightly so it caused a small bump. I did the first on the very bottom .010 from the edge, then the next .1" up, then the next .2" up so when you look down on it, it forms a triangle, but as you rotate the tube, each point is higher than the next. This worked perfectly, the top is secured and does not spin and screws on and off from point to point. Let me know if this make sense.

The condensation is inherent with the original G-Tank as well, even with the poly tubing and lots of space I still get condensation and it is a cooler vape. I think that is a natural occurrence, because the combustion is so far away from the mouth piece.

And that cooler vape is my only complaint. But I am used to CE2s with the coil practically in my mouth. I love the idea of mesh wick attys. I should have a zenesis standard next month. It has the coil on top of the tank. I hope this produces the warmer vape that the GTUS lacks.

The GTUS is great and i will keep vaping it. But that perfect vape that I am chasing is a bit warmer.

Well, I have all but retired my Scubagen V3 dual coils in preference to the Gtank US. I can vape them at 3.7- 6.4 volts with absolute enjoyment. Tons of vapor and flavor. Yes the condensation is somewhat of an issue but that was expected. I swab the outer tube thrice routinely throughout out the day with clean-ex or a paper towel. I love the smaller tanks (3 & 5 mil) as compared to the 8 mil tank on the V3. If anyone decides they want to sell their Gtank US... just let me know. :) I doubt that I will ever sell the V3s either... but for now I am absolutely hooked on the GTank!

Glad you liked the Scubagens. They were above my skill level.
