Assembled with Drip Top $100

Since I ordered this I've stepped back from mods and I'm only using my ego's or kr808's. So I think I'm willing to part with mine.

I've talked with Dan and he's willing to put your address in place of mine before he starts shipping these out.

shoot me a pm

GONE congrats Quigsworth

I'll send your info to Dan

Well I guess that's another $6 to Dan for postage fees so it can sit in Canada Customs for 3 weeks while they try and figure out what it is:D

I actually tell them as little as possible, my wife and I have a cabin just across the border and I have to talk to those guys twice a week...no sense of humour at all...

"any alcohol, tobacco or fire arms to declare sir?"

"I don't think so, the RPG in my trunk is more of an explosive than fire arm...I think we're good"

"Can I get you to pull into stall 3 please sir"

...no lovin from the wife that night

Update:

Ok I sat for 5 hours last night and went through all the 5ml tops, 32 out of 350 did not fit, and 3 out of those the threads were cross threaded. So I have everything checked and will be sending those defective parts back.
Dan

Just a recap....

All T-tops are not to spec, 100 out of 350 threading does not fit. All parts do not sit flush.
33 out of 400 3ml tops do not fit.
32 out of 350 5ml tops do not fit.

I did something yesterday that seems to have really improved some of the minor (and I do mean minor) issues I've had with the GTUS. Actually, two things. They are:

1. I started using the Ideal Instruments 6cc syringe/tank with no o-ring. It fits onto the SS very snugly and allows very little leaking. In the pic below, you can see that a couple of drops of liquid have leaked into the space where the o-ring goes, but very little, and that's after several hours of use and then sitting upright over night, with juice in it. A very narrow o-ring would probably solve that problem, but if the o-ring is too thick, it makes it very difficult to put on the syringe/tank.

2. On the SS part that the wick sticks through to enter the tank, I removed the PTFE spacer tubing, and then increased the thickness of the wick to take up the extra space. This makes for a very thick wick, as you can kind of see in the pic. When I rolled the wick, I did NOT use a paper clip - I just rolled it as tightly as I could, and as thick as necessary to fit snugly in the hole. The effects have been:

- nearly perfect wicking. I have had zero dry hits. I tried to get it to dry hit and couldn't do it. At one point, I held the button down continuously, while puffing, for about 12-13 seconds, followed closely by another 10-12 second continous firing - wicked perfectly the entire time. I'm using 400 mesh with juice that's 65-70% vg, so it's pretty thick.
- Very reduced leaking. No leaking through the air hole, unless I tipped it upside down and blew through the mouthpiece, and even then very little juice came out.
- Very reduced liquid accumulating on the outside of the the syringe/tank. There is still some moisture there, but very reduced compared to what was accumulating there previously.

I realize that the PTFE spacer piece is desiged to avoid shorts between the wick and the SS, but if the wick is properly oxidized, then it's not a problem. And the performance I've had, after about 10 hours of use, is incredible.

PS: Sorry for the crappy phone pic - my cell phone is all I have sitting at my desk at work.

I will try the large wick, I use over 2mm dia ss wicks on my lines and they work perfect, I also found for heavy duty vaping at higher voltage the wick on the GTUS was too narrow, on overhead tanks I do not wrap the wick with a hole, on the under tanks I do as the rising heat draws the juice up like a small volcano.
