One more set up option...and this one works AWESOME!!!,, in fact may be "the one" at least for me...vaping on this for a couple hours now, no issues except a minor headach, dry mouth, hic-ups, etc...

Like your drawing skills lol, but most of us have gone to SS for better flavor and health risks of ceramic, fiberglass, and silica.

Really?, I get silica and fiberglass, but ceramic?...they use ceramics for high temp processing in medical labs...hmm...fair enough, you guys have been around the block some when it comes to this stuff...disregard my last post peeps, sucks though, these setup works, tastes, vapes as good as my Ody...with half the PITA factor...

Quigs.....that's the beauty of these. If that is the type of coil you want to make, and it works for you.....then that's the best thing for you to do. :)

There is no rule that says it has to be SS mesh. My Iatty has a combination wick using SS mesh and cep material.

No, you can't seem to get Nextel outside of the states (some kind of national security thing I guess:p), I've tried...just like McMasters won't ship to Canada either...a friend of mine owns a specialized mechanical company that does a lot of work on very high temp equipment like industrial kilns and blast furnaces and the such...he gets it by the reel out of Germany (can't recall the name brand) it has the same +2500 F rating as 116. You have to torch the sizing off it which makes it pretty fragile to work with but it's flavourless unlike fiberglass, I've never tried silica before.

Yeah, it's one of those BS security things, since the Nextel was designed originally for a military application. I've seen the same kind of restrictions at work, where a non-US citizen can't even look at certain blueprints and other paperwork, nor view or handle the actual material, because of the end user's application. It may only be a simple ball bearing with the same kind of materials and tolerances as many others, but if it's a government (ie - aerospace or defense) application then it's restricted material even though there's nothing out of the ordinary about it

Dan, cool news on the extra o-rings. With all the hassle that this co-op has caused you we certainly don't expect anything extra from you, but your generosity and eagerness to please seems to repeatedly trump our expectations :) You get a big  from me

Serious on the security thing?, wow, and I was just being a smart ......maybe I'll order some Nextel for the door on my wood stove down at my cabin in the states...maybe order a little extra and smuggle it across (I promise not to let anyone dicey look at it up in Canada...being a big military force and all:laugh:)

Make sure ya take a torch to that nextel and burn her off really well Quigsworth

Oh ya, I just do a 12" strand at a time and cook it off with a propane torch...amazing stuff, I put it right in the inner blue flame tip...the stuff glows red and turns pure white...fiberglass would be done doing that;) (I tried)
