HIGHLY recommend this vendor (Fred). We've shopped with him many a time and oft, and actually got our Squidies from him. Excellent prices and truly concerned customer service. Without a doubt, one of the best vendors you can find.

Double Barrel 2.1 150W Mod

Finally, and letting it drop after this, I also must shamelessly plug Fred here. One of our two was special ordered (OOS) and it took exactly one day before he shipped it out to us. I can also attest to the fact that he's always stood behind his products, and has been nothing but consistently awesome to deal with.

Even when we've placed the tiny orders ($10-15), he's always made us feel like we were his only clients.

I am done. Thank you. :)

Define quality, Mr. Flakes.

I find it to be of the utmost in design and creative manufacture. This is a mod that abstoluuuuuuuuuuutely won't suit all, as it's incredibly basic. There are no clocks, and there are no light shows. It's VW and it can lock the wattage, and oh yes, it also can flip the screen.

THERE IS NO TC!

Beyond that tho, it's an amazing performer, and the vape is smoooooooooooth as silk. It rivals only two others that might be in that class (B Box and the EPM). Hand feel and weight, for a dual batt device (which is a first for me) is unbelievable. It feels SO much smaller than its dimensions would prove to be. It's solid, sweetie. It is topping the list for a unique mod that just gives total performance, without uber frills.

I love this device. And I am picking it up much more than all the other pretties. Go figure. ;)

Thanks Kat

Maybe I need a mod built like a battleship.

Yes! No having to watch out for accidentally getting into TC mode. And no having to know how to get out of it, just in case.

That's a great idea for a thread/blog post! A list of non-tc mods. Whether VV, VW, or both.
Still waiting for TC to get right with God.

It probably is already, but I'm holding out for the slackjawed dumbass version.
Me too.
There are components that some would consider to be downsides. If any are considering it, I'd strongly recommend watching one of the many YouTube reviews of the mod.
Thanks for the warning. I will.

So, now I'm waiting for the income tax refund for two mods: the Jac and the Squid.

I'm still a bunch confused about all the in's and out's of TC vaping. Confused enough that I only have a couple SS builds that use the TC. Even using the arcticfox still the vape runs into problems of one hit being the Ahhhh moment then the next is YUK, just can't find that sweet spot. The 1.4 to 1.6 ohm 30/34 clapton is my favorite build for now until the 29 gauge wire and the few 40+ gauge wires as wrap show up and see how it goes. The lack of substance using the 30 core after a couple dryburns then it weakens and easily distorts inserting the rayon that hoping the 29 gauge solves.

The pursuing entertainment value may be worth it, in and of itself. ;)

For The Saviors, they shall come.

Thanks for the warning. I will.

You're VERY welcome, DH, and we share similar appreciations (who'd have thunk it!), said one caricature to another. :)

And you'll start that thread, Madame? Brilliant idea, methinks. I have a feeling that those who don't/won't/can't participate in the TC form of vaping might just be anxious to come out of the woodwork and speak up! Finding non-TC mods might prove to be an interesting goal.

Time for a vape or 7.

All of mine would get along with all yours cause none of mine have TC either. The only T.C. I keep around is my hubby. That happens to be his name. It's a southern thing to go by initials instead of a full name

In the 3 years that I've been vaping, a few game changers have crossed my path. I started with eGo batteries and CE4's. Then I 'discovered' other types of clearomizer's, and still have and occasionally use one (an Innokin iClear X.I). Then realized I could make enough eliquid to last me at least the better part of 2 months for less than or not much more than 1 cigarette cost me (30 cents), while I was still tooting my horn because I found a vendor where I could get 2 30ml bottles (+ the 3 or 4 10ml bottles they would throw in for free) for 20 bucks. Then VV (eGo type). Then regulated mods, external batts and VW. Then mech mods and RTA's. Even though the 'current ;)' game board I'm on hasn't changed much for the past year and a half or so, I sometimes wonder where I'll go to play next..

All but one of my mods are tc capable, but just don't care for it. I find my non fiddle style of vaping very satisfying.
One of the reg mods I have, an iStick TC60W, is tc capable as well. I only use it in VW mode though.

For the longest time I used an Eleaf Pico 75W kit with the Mello3. I thought everything was all fine and dandy. Then one day I go to a B&M and see some newer Smok kits. The guy was pushing hard for me to get the GX350 kit. I decided to try the Alien kit instead.

GAME CHANGER! The first few draws after priming was an eye-opening experience for me! This distinct hiss of the Q2 coil, the feel and power of a dual battery mod in my hand, the FLAVOR! I loved it.

The improvement was vast. I remember thinking omg this thing is amazing. Good times..

What a COINCIDENCE!!!!! Same here! :D

That's funny - we were volunteering YOU. ;)
It really is a worthwhile thread to have. Ill do it!

But, y'all have more to contribute than I do. Not all of my mods are non-TC. And, y'all *get around* more than I do.

Oh, and while we're at it, any ideas on a catchy title?
