I have NOT turned off my mod and am still vaping it SINCE the upgrade, and I still have like more than half of my battery bars.

This is fantastic. I'm going to start paying attention to all the "upgrade" stuff. LOL.

You should make sure you have the latest update installed, new person! And yes the Legend is FABULOUS.

Some happy Legend owners here. Can add me to that list. Great mod!

I have had mine for a few weeks, love the durability but am dissapointed that the vape is weak. To get the equiviliant 30w vape from my cylon on my legend I have pump it up to 48w .
The stock mesh rta that came with the kit has been a solid performer.(that suprised the heck out of me actually)

That’s a bit bizarre. Although he did not post measurements at 30 watts, DJLsb data shows the Legend to fire higher than advertised. Same with the Smoant Cylon. Looking at his objective data I’d say the 2 are pretty equal in output.

Congratulation!

Still did not updated my Aegis but mine is not Legend so I do not think I would get any benefits... I love mine as it is :)

Daniel only tested the original firmware, not any updates as far as I know. I bought my two when they first came out (back in May). The TC would swing like 80°F higher and then about 80°F lower and then work its way to the correct temperature. Meantime your juice bakes on your coils (and formaldehyde and Acetaldehyde (both carcinogens) are found past safe levels above 480°F), your cotton burns, and that chipset and firmware are totally unusable. Just a week later after I purchased them, they continue to sit collecting dust. :(

The legend did have a few issues prior to the latest update. That is why all users with the Aegis Legend should update their device. Some of the issues didn't effect everyone. In my review I mentioned a few of the issues that were present.

TC was corrected through a firmware update and although Daniel did not follow up with a test, one can use the Nova as a reference. As for the original FW, he did mention with default settings it was more on the cool side. Interpret that as you wish but there is no mention of it spiking beyond 480°F.

It only does it under certain conditions. A combination of ohms, TCR, and temperature settings will set it off. It is totally possible that Daniel didn't see it during his tests. To be honest, I didn't either at first. But hit the right combination and all hell breaks loose. :(

Long live the Aegis Legend.

A 100 watt toodle puffer lasts for weeks between charges using the supplied battery. An absolutely amazing device.
A toddle puffer running at 100 watts? And lasting weeks? Are you sure you are not a cloud chaser running those futuristic nuclear powered 18650? Maybe you forgot to disconnect the USB charge cable.

It guards my coffee table from burglars until after work each day while I show off my Rover X at the construction site.

Spent the day at a theme park with the kiddo over the weekend. Since its starting to get chilly here,(60F) and was windy, all the water rides had the shortest lines so that's what we spent the day riding. Had my Legend with Themis on top in my soaking wet shorts, (dripping wet) the whole day and no issues whatsoever. Having the rubber surround helps "lock" the wet mod in wet pockets, but once extracted from said pockets has a comfortable secure grip which was essential because by the end of the day, I could hardly feel my fingers.

Big thank you to member United States for letting me hook my 200 to his laptop and update the firmware. Without going into lengthy details, my internet at home on the Windows machine isn't working again and I've been ok with its performance so it was no hurry. Ip4 stops working from time to time and it's a lengthy process to get it working right.
Man what a difference in battery life. Valaryin set at 75 watts has lasted all day easily. I like that heat setting on my strawberry menthol to keep the menthol from dominating the strawberry like it does 80 watts or higher.
By this time usually it's time to start thinking about changing batteries but it's still just over 3/4 full according to the meter.
Since I'd already been using it before the update I don't know a true puff count difference but before I was getting about 400 on the Hohm Lifes before I changed or charged. When using a Baby Prince or Toptank I'd get a lot more puffs as I'd set the wattage in the 30-low 40s.
If you update be sure and unzip the.bin file as well as .exe before attempting the update to minimize error pop ups. Android I know well. Windows 7 and above not so much.

I got mine last week and have been loving it.

One question I have for everyone is what TCR they are using?
I know the default is 112 which was also confirmed by DJLSB in his review video but personally I think it might be too high.
It seems to vape hotter than all my other mods that use a TCR curve such as DNA and Artic Fox.

Currently I am vaping on custom TCR of 100.

I use Titanium wire in mine, which the default Titanium TC profile has the TCR at 420, my eVic VTC mini defaults to 410 I believe, so the Aegis leans towards more aggressive in that case.

I have been vaping at 400f with the default Titanium profile, and it has seemed to be accurate based on my experience, if maybe slightly on the aggressive side as compared to the VTC mini running Arctic Fox firmware.

I'm digging it, Stealth Black Aegis Legend, running a Kayfun 5 squared, titanium coil @ .42 ohm, great combo! With the Kayfun in full SS mode, this is my most indestructible rig for sure.

Just wish we could run Arctic Fox firmware or similar on it!

With SS screen mesh 88. With Vapefly stamped SS mesh I just use it in SS mode.
