After using this for the day today and doing 2 builds now and after having the MT-RTA, I must say this griffin is a bit lack luster. I got it cause I could put big builds in it. Well Geek Vape needs to understand that for big builds you must have lots of juice flow. juice flow on this is a joke, its misleading from the pics cause under the juice flow ring there is a radius and not as big as it looks on the pics. I now understand why some are using .2id so it can keep up with the wicking. And I guess I will have to try this also or put this thing in the trash. We all know this has a nice big v-deck but as far as i can see that is about all it has going for it. When the MT_RTA comes out with a v-deck I will get 10 of them cause right now in it I can run .25 id with clapitons and chain it at 80w till its dry with no dry hits at all. Griff today with a simple build and usng rayon I got to 50w before she dry hit. Like I said I will try .2id tomm and sure it will work fine , BUT that is not why I got this. What is the point of having a big deck that can hold big claptions if I cant use big claptions and have to use .2id coils? I am graduating from mechanical engineering this semester so I may see what I can do about making these juice channels bigger. Far as I can tell that is the only hope for this tank. Rant over
I hate that this tank didn't turn out to be what it appeared to be. I too had high hopes for it. I ended up grabbing the Mutank and bought the v deck rba section. Really hoping that turns out to be a winner, my vape budget is being scrutinized by the significant other at this point lol.

If it just had bigger wick channels I think it would have been the tank I am looking for. Mutank and the v tank is a good way to go, but I am for sure they will have a mt-rta v2 with v deck so that is what i am waiting for. Why would they not right? Mutank v deck but no mt-rta v2 v deck. It will come and when it does like I said I will buy 10 cause that is perfect, as far as i am concerned.

Sure you can if I can find my camera as I really just use smart phones now. If you get on youtube and look at mike vapes that is how i wick. That is the only way there is to wick it if you do a .3id coil like we are. Right below the juice ring where you wick it is not as large as it looks on the pics. The way they make it is just use an end mill or drill bit so there is a curve to it and you do not get the full use out of the juice channels that we should have. Do you have an mt-rta ? If not I would wait for it or like you said the ohmega looks good.
Thanks for the detailed information!
For the wicking problem, if u hold the air flow holes with your fingers and suck the air from the drip tip gently, the pressure inside the coil decreases and the juice goes into the coil. That's how I help my coil to wick when I chain vape on my current RBA on uwell crown tank when I put too much cotton and it wicks slow. I'm not a native English speaker so I hope it makes sense lol
If u suck it too strong the cotton on the juice hole probably moves and makes it leaking possibly but as long as its u so it gently it should be OK on velocity style decks I'm guessing.

I figured out a solution to the slow wick process. Hope this works for y'all cuz it works for me. First I stuffed the juice wells with wads of cotton, a little past the guide ring. F@#k what the reviewers said and how they built it (probably getting paid or influenced by free ohm reader n wires they got from geek vape). Then I filled it with the juice flow slightly opened, with a napkin to catch the leak along the airholes. I screwed the top cap on tight maintaining the pressure, right side up.

Now close the juice flow, and blow out any leaking juice, catching it with the napkin along the airholes (or vape it). Now open up the juice holes, slightly open (same as u filled it). For me atleast, it wicks like a champ. I can chain vape up to 80w on a .19 ohm clapton build, 3mm bit. Always close the juice flow when ur not using it and it wont leak.

I was content at 2mm bit, low builds, at low watts, but thats not what I bought this tank for. I figure, if it doesn't want to wick, ill force it to!!! Posted some pics. Hope this helps.

As for my juice flow issue (the base not detaching from chimney). I just finger tighten it and make sure to turn it left and right, (instead of one direction) so its a lot easier for me to remove the deck. I took off the guide ring too, cuz it keeps getting stuck in the chimney, at least for me.

If you still get dry hits open the juice flow a little more. For me I never open it past halfway. Now I LOVE this tank, its performing like its suppose to. Still an RDA person. I think it will still take some time for RTA's to perform like an RDA but this definitely comes close!!!

went back to a 24 gauge 9 wrap 2mm. still has problems if you chain vape it over 60 watts I would say 4th or 5th toot and I mean good solid take it deep 3 second toots. still have the same issue lining up those dam juice wells but I have a work around now. I extended my cotton a little bit lower than the ring and I can see it if I look under good lighting just barely so I line that sucker up dead center on the juice hole where I can see the cotton on all 4 holes figuring that thick juice needs the full open, but I may be wrong. This build wicked just under the ring will work great if you are a take a toot put it down for a minute type. Next I will try some 50/50 juice. Right now one hit wonder rocket man does not perform like I think it should in this particular tank. Also think I stripped one of my grub screws but that is mostly on me unless others are doing it as well. I so want to love this thing but if I am honest my aromamizer still gets more use. I will say that when I am blasting those first 4 or 5 toots this thing rocks. Might have to try the pack it full option mentioned above.

Got the Griffin today.

First wicking worked out pretty good, 60w was still saturated, 90VG. Tried 80w but little too dry.
Already drilled the chamber holes a bit bigger but it doesn´t help the wicking.

This has the same problem as Lemo2, too little room between the glass and the chamber.
I made juice channels in the lemo a lot bigger but the bubble just dont have enough room to come out of that hole/channel.
Exact the same thing with Griffin.
I left the chimney o-ring off and thought maybe that would let some air in the tank but I guess it doesn´t help much.
I may file a little air channel at the chimney threads tomorrow to see if it helps, should be easy to seal it back with the o-ring.

Wicks I left long enough to be seen in the chamberholes. Wicks suck the juice so the air has to move.
Only 1 channel releases the airbubbles in mine too.

Still not a perfect tank, every tank needs some modification to get better.
Aromamizer still #1.

I had to ditch the ring because it kept getting stuck in my chimney.

Ok, I've gone totally crazy. I've made my first fused Claptons (think that's what they're called, 2 parallel strands of 26g wrapped in 32). I've got this thing at 110W, but I'm coming down some
