Got this in yesterday and just built it. 3mm ID Claptons (36/26g) at .41 ohms wicked with KGD. Only vaping it at 42W. Awesome flavor and pretty darn good vapor production. This thing is amazing. I thought I was impressed with the Ohmega Alpha BFT, and while I still really enjoy it this RTA takes the cake.

Mine arrived the day after I ordered it! I put in the same build as yours but wicked with rayon - love it :)

Finally!
I recently got an aromamizer and was totally happy with it, but I really wanted this lol
Now I got 2 good tanks and can switch between 2 flavours which is handy.

24 GBP in UK btw.
I guess its not a bad price:)
(Don't like waiting the parcel from China...)

I could not chain vape it at 60. On my Crius I can chain vape at 60 no problems. The only gripe I have with my Crius is very small amounts of condensation in the tank and I have no leaks. My Crius does not have a cracked insulator. It is hit or miss but Wetvapes will give you another one if it has cracks. I don't have the Aromamizer because it isn't top fill. I wanna try it though. I just grabbed a Wotofo Serpent since I keep hearing how great it is for a single coil. If it is anything like my Sapor it will be a great tank. To be honest having both the Griffin and Crius I can't say the Griffin is better then the Crius. The Crius has smother juice control and is easier for me to get apart. I sold one of my Griffins and the other one I threw it in the trash. The screws were really easy to strip and round out on the deck. I find it easier to fill my Crius then the Griffin. The Griffin top fill was a little hard to turn. If I had to throw in another RTA to compare I would give the nod to the Goblin Mini on flavor with the Griffin. The Goblin can be hard to wick but once you get it wicked right it is a great little RTA. Right now I have 24G 2MM claptons on my Crius at .22 ohms and chain vaping away at 65 watts no problem. My Griffin just can't keep up with my Crius.
I can chain vape max vg e liquid at 100+ degrees with zero dry hits. All of the reviewers I watch seem to have the same experience that I do, so it could be that you haven't got the wicking down just yet.

That post was a while back. I have since moved on from this tank and got rid of it. I am happy with my MT and Aromamizer and have no intentions of wasting my money again on this tank. I had more issues with the QC then antything else.

I'm sorry to hear that, as yours seems to be an isolated case. Several major YouTube reviewers named it the best rta of 2015, and it has had glowing reviews all the way around. The threading on mine could have been better, but the ability to throw in any kind of build that I want, and to run max vg juice at high watts with monster airflow on dual 3mm claptons, has been a dream.

After using this for the day today and doing 2 builds now and after having the MT-RTA, I must say this griffin is a bit lack luster. I got it cause I could put big builds in it. Well Geek Vape needs to understand that for big builds you must have lots of juice flow. Juice flow on this is a joke, its misleading from the pics cause under the juice flow ring there is a radius and not as big as it looks on the pics. I now understand why some are using .2id so it can keep up with the wicking. And I guess I will have to try this also or put this thing in the trash. We all know this has a nice big v-deck but as far as i can see that is about all it has going for it. When the MT_RTA comes out with a v-deck I will get 10 of them cause right now in it I can run .25 id with clapitons and chain it at 80w till its dry with no dry hits at all. Griff today with a simple build and usng rayon I got to 50w before she dry hit. Like I said I will try .2id tomm and sure it will work fine , BUT that is not why I got this. What is the point of having a big deck that can hold big claptions if I cant use big claptions and have to use .2id coils? I am graduating from mechanical engineering this semester so I may see what I can do about making these juice channels bigger. Far as I can tell that is the only hope for this tank. Rant over

just got one of these yesterday and i'm rocking a 3mm dual 7 wrap 26/32 clapton .54Ω @ 75watts and have been chainvaping with no dry hits whatsoever. i love my mt-rta but this is definitely where the flavor is

Uh, either 6/7 or 7/8, don't remember. I re-wicked it earlier with Rayon and it's performing even better. I couldn't really chain vape it before. I'd get 2, maybe 3 good draws and then I'd have to give it a few seconds to catch up. With the Rayon in, I can chain vape at 50W+. Lovin' it. When I get paid this weekend, I'm picking up a second.

just bought this Griffin 2 days back. i followed those youtubers video n did a build accordingly. i left the wick at the level of the ring, n it leaked like crazy once i tilt it sideway.

after receiving sm helped from another forum, i now leave the wick all the way down at the base of the juice channel n it seems to stopped the leaking.

wonder if this is the best way to wicked?

I tuck my wicks behind the juice ring but don't have any coming out from the bottom of the ring. Haven't had it leak yet. That being said, if your method works for you keep it up.

thats wat i did on my first build too. it was only until i vaped half a tank of juice then it began to leaked.

but hell, i love this griffin. i have no problem vaping it in high watts n filling her up. unlike so many top fill tank out there, the griffin will not leaked during filling once the juice channel is closed.
