Used a premade clapton that the ebay seller gave - runs at .2 ohm and at 60 W is a perfect vape - no leaks - I only run the cotton just past the ring and she wicks fine

It's here, it's black, it's awesome. Got claptons in it an using it at 70watts on my new Cuboid, no dry hits. I did something that could have gone terribly wrong but worked, wicked it with the ring off and then used the ring to get the wicks in place, almost got trapped on the threads but didn't. No leaking either. My only con is between the JC and the AC it moves strangely when trying to screw or unscrew something, even the atty itself. Maybe I just need to learn where to hold it from for what I want to do. Now I sleep

I'm not using the wick ring at all. My first day with it, it kept getting stuck in the chimney. I don't even know what I did with it.

I posted these in the MT thread, but they belong here.

I've been running this build since I got the Griffin. My first attempt making fused Claptons. I need to get my outer wrap tighter :). Two 26g kanthal cores wrapped in 32g. 6 wraps on 2.5mm diameter drill bits for 0.17 ohm. He is running at 110W. Probably could go higher, but this old lady can't :D

No wick ring. I tossed it at the beginning. These wicks have been in for a little over two tankfuls as I put them in yesterday evening when I changed juice.

Do you have any problems turning the jfc without using the ring. For me the cotton gets stuck if it sticks out of the holes at all and makes it very hard to turn it.

You know, I always have found it more difficult to turn than the Crius. Never thought about it being due to not having the wick ring on. So far though it hasn't messed up my wicks. Removing the deck last night so I could take that photo for someone who wanted to see it slightly messed up two of my tails.

Truly am sorry Roxy! I meant whenever you had to refill or swap builds. I should have elaborated my questions. (Sometimes I forget that 99% of the population aren't mind readers hahaha) thanks for the pics though [emoji3] I need to get a drill cause right now I straighten and twist my wire by hand

Well, I was trying to hold off on getting one of these until next week, but last night I saw Rip Trippers posted his review, touting its the "best RTA evar" shpeal he does for everything. I knew once the nut huggers saw the review they would be sold out everywhere, so I just went on to eciggity and ordered the black version. Damn shame that I have to rush something before hype kicks over supply.

Mine isn't here yet but I haven't seen any pics of the deck out of the base. @roxynoodle

I don't remember, but I think it did? I don't want to mess up my build checking it right now though. My first fused Claptons so they're kind of special even if my wrap wasn't as good as I had hoped.

You think it's safe to vape? You can see it on the bottom left corner.View attachment 527096

Probably. Obviously if it starts melting or your resistance isn't stable, you should stop using it.
