This is a wonderful atty folks! Superior design, quality vape experience, lightweight and a dream companion to the Wizards for those who have it. Currently this rta makes it amongst my two most top performing (and only used) toppers, the other being the Erlkonigin.

You had me until you mentioned the Erlkonigin. Got an Erlkonigin yesterday, and it's hands down the worst atty I've ever used. So unbelievably finicky. Dry hits constantly. Total pain to setup. Only plus I see so far is the top fill capability.

So far, the SQuape-R is the best atty I've ever used. Easy to build. Easy enough to fill. Works really well for me. I was interested in the GEM because it seemed similar, and has the top fill capability. I can certainly hope the GEM is far better than the Erlkonigin!

I'm having difficulty with mine too. I'm debating trading it for a squape-r

I'm just the opposite. For me it's the easiest rba to build that I've found. It vaped perfectly on my very first build, and I haven't had a dry hit yet. Have you checked the builds in the Erlkonigin thread? The wicking is definitely different that other attys.

I've actually read half of that entire thread and seen the different builds. I still have trouble. Mines now ready to trade for the Squape-R. I'll definitely miss the size of the Erlkonigin, and while I'll admit it's a beautiful, brilliant topper, it just didn't work out for me unfortunately.

Dang. I wish I had a squape to trade. I'm by no means an expert coil builder. I've had an Erlk nano in service for a week, rewicked it several times (with cotton) and it's been lovely. I tried 2 of Q's set ups - the original and the single cut. I haven't had any problems with leaks, dry hits etc., just wonderful vaping pleasure. I have some rayon to try but real life is so crazy I haven't had time to sit down and make an attempt with time redo it when the first one doesn't work out.

I guess it just goes to show that there isn't one atty for everybody. Thank goodness there's a lot to choose from!

Amen to that Coldrake. My issue isn't the cost of either or, it's the availablity of the Squape-R and the Mark bugs Gem, which I'm sure won't be easy to get your hands on. Anyone ever attempted to pick up a Chalice II? Those things are like candy in the classifieds. I saw one on there earlier today that sold for 90 bucks! What a steal!

That chalice was mine. I hated to part with it, but im not into squonk life any longer, so it didn't get used.

I got it from a buddy of mine for the same price I sold it for. Wouldn't have been right to sell it for more.

Oh yes, different folks - different strokes! As Coldrake so eloquently put it ~ the success of other attys indeed establishes that fact.

I have used nearly every atty out there. Posses almost all of them. I am a S-RTA fanboy (K'funish systems) but have a lovely relationship with Gennys too. And today I use only the Erlkonigin, got five of them ;)

Off course thanks to this Beta unit, the GEM also got added into my mainstream toppers now!

For what it's worth, I have them both as well. My road was a bit muddled....had a Sqr, and an Erlk. After 10 days, I grew so frustrated with the Erlk, I traded it for a second Sqr. A month or so ago, I came to wonder if I'd given the Erlk a fair shake. So I saw one come up on the classifieds, and grabbed it. I now have 2 ;-) Nothing is easier than the SQr to rebuild, in my opinion. Both fantastic atty's, and I own/use them both. That said, I can now rebuild the Erlk just as easily. It doesnt require extra steps. It doesnt require calculus. Just a little trial and error. This thread , although pretty mammoth at this point, is better than any user manual I have ever seen. The beginning of the Erkonigin thread has all the pertinent links to setting up the Erlk the right way. Give it some time, and don't be like me!

I totally agree - The SQr is the easiest to build amongst all RTAs. Is also the second most airiest of them all (the first being Gus Estia). The performance is also fine, tho nothing exceptional IMHO. But, my foremost issue with it is it's mass. Everytime I pick it up it becomes an exercise ~ feels like I'm in the gym pumping weights!

I'm a little more concerned about airflow than flavor. It would be worth it to try a mesh build, or even nail down a ceramic build to see how it affects the flavor comparatively. I've had my heart set on a Squape for a couple months and only recently discovered the erlkonigin.

Actually one of the major selling points for the squape is the ability to mess with your build without emptying your tank. Yeah I know it can be done with the Erlkonigin, but not quite as simply.

Man I wish I had the dang gem, then I could have the best of both worlds! Must have... Haha the wife wants to travel to europe, maybe we'll fly over to Romania and I'll snag one from Mr. Bugs himself!
