Does anyone know where you can buy replacement glass?

I purchased one off the ECF classifieds and it only has one glass tube. I've never broke a tube (always will be a first) but I would like to be prepared.
Ahhh, it was you who snagged it!! lol!

try these IBTanked. I havent bought one and stole the info from a post somewhere. It is a custom job so I think you have to mail them. They have a thread on the forum suppliers section (I think)

The size is 20 x 1.2 x 25.52 mm but not sure if the first measurement is the ID or OD. A quick crude measurement with a ruler will tell you. Alternatively, the IBtanked guys probably
have a record of what they have made for people and may be able to advise!

good luck

steve

edit: Just a moan, and I know they have been moving etc, but its pretty poor that no spares are available from MB yet. Not very impressed really :(

Yes, it was me. Thanks, I half figured it would be a custom order from either IBTanked or Spectrum Tanks.

Will confirm measurements once I receive it.

What brand of tempered nickel are you buying or do you temper it yourself with a loop you fire to harden before wrapping?
heating it will anneal it and make it even softer! The tempered stuff is 'work-hardened' as far as I know and is much stiffer!

Hmm.... I should have said scraping it with tweezers. Mine doesn't seem to get softer but harder with electricity.

So what's the brand? The stuff I'm using is very soft. Youde

What happened to the gem for sale? I never found one in classifieds still available. I think I want to find a wae too maybe.

Ok here's what I do for thick e liquid. After I got through this I realized I probably used 5-10% more cotton last time.

When I trim the first side I do so right above the screw. Then I pull it back through so it's level. When I cut the second side I lay my scissors on the screw (bigger scissors) to cut. I then even it out.

Wheat you may see here is that you wind up with two upturned ends like a u - that's tight and fluffy on the tips. I then just fluff it more and let it tuck into the channel. What I hope to have captured is that there's virtually no material in the channels. It's just some leftover wisps of material. When it's wet and he last pict you should be able to see he side is basically empty. It's jist enough to add some color and reduce the depth of the channel slightly.

The cotton should be so thick you have to move very slowly not to reform a 28gauge nickel cool. And so short that it looks like a puff ball before you put liquid on it.nit a bow tie

I fire with a preheat of one second at 25 watts Set to 3 for punch. And my temp and wattage settings are 460-480 and 12 respectively. This is enough to get up to temp and maintain it. Make good vapor. Max battery life on a DNA 200 mod. Not fry anything taste great. (I believe setting the DNA 200 mods to less is better for battery life. If you're at temp you're at temp. Why make the DNA chip regulate an unecessary 180 watts down all the time. Plus it avoids the rattlesnake sound mostly )

Sorry for the poor quality photos. If it's needed or helpful I'll just set up a decent camera and make a video with the slightly larger section of cotton.

I can tell this works well for my bay the overall health of my coil and cotton when removed. Very little gunk or darkened areas after a few days.

This is cotton bacon. I find it to be very good in here. I am sure it's a rebranded something. But whatever the something is, is good. And the bag for $5 for making gem wicks would probably last a year wicking every 2-3 days. Despite how "small the bag is. The amount used is like leftovers for any other build.

I have some KGD coming. I'll actually measure stuff when it gets here and I replicate this. It will be easy with the rectangular pads

What are you using to fire it a dna200 mod?
I have a DNA200 but there are lots of cheap mods now that have Ti mode, and any TC mod will fire Ti. You just needs to back off the set temp by ~100F or so to account for the difference in TCR! Check out these threads if you are interested (and have a lot of time!)..lots of info on Ti and other wires like SS and the NiFe alloys...
