What wattage and ohm are you vaping on? I notice on my wicking most of the time higher watts gives consistent crackle and flavor. Sometimes it comes on low wattage then it goes away without changing the wick.feels like it has mood swings sometimes!
Always get crackling in TC mode with Ti or NiFe48, microcoils or spaced! Wattage never more than 30 and usually a lot less depending on build..
I made a video! Should hopefully help anyone who's having any issues getting it set up and wicked. The close ups are a little out of focus unfortunately, but I do explain what's going on pretty well (I feel) and I can post up some clarification photos if needed.
This video made my day. I finally get the full flavor of the GEM all thanks to you. I have been struggling to get this right for 2 weeks. Only difference is I improvised with Muji cotton. I've never hear it crackle like this before and the flavor.... OMFG....
I posted the dimensions of the fasttech glass by the way. Not fits perfectly and has been more durable than the owl Glass of the stainless. They probably won't get a ton of stock in so if I were you id spend the $5 now to
Get five spares while they have them.

Not just heard, using it right now. Received it today. And don't worry - it'd be priced a li'l lower than the original (SS model)

I tried. It I can't be brief.
So the titanium supporters which yielded the higher profit margins were effectively the mark bugs beta team.
I'm probably out and I won't be back. Brand loyalty needs to work both ways. If his was say a sixMonth cycle that's one thing But six weeks. Get it together. It's a jobbing. You don't release a high price limited edition and outdo it wih a 2/3 or less priced model six weeks later wih better features. Would anyone buy anything if companies did that regularly ? No they'd always wait.
So You can get the 2.0 gem. Version three is probably eight weeks out. After the limited v2 releases in five weeks.
Beta test your ..... Get it right. Release products correctly. EVERYTHING that's going to be on v2 should be on the titanium. Imo if you value your customers at this point they need to offer to do no Charge titanium upgrades for not getting it right the first time. There are what 263 of us right ?
On top of that they destroy the second hand market with horrible pricing strategy. The limited gem will be seen as worth less than the v2 as v2 is better designed. So much for limited edition. V1 will effectively not be worth selling on.
Half the bloody market for authentic atomizers is the resale value. You position things so your core and die hard customers can position an upgrade. You don't screw then

You've given your highest profit customers worse atomizers than the mass produced.
I just don't know where their heads are. Actually I know exactly where they are. Directly up their .......

Mark bugs are maybe 1/3 on this front. I just don't personally have the desire to feed a bottomless pit. Whether it's greed or complete and utter lack

Maybe I'll quickly list the ss gem and wae on mod trader before the public announcement. Probably the way to go. And the titanium.

I did send them a very brief version of this. To the new email. I won't hold My breath.
For any of those no longer planning on purchasing mark bus products I highly recommend GP. They have excellent products. Absolutely top notch support. And the community and conversation is amazing.
You can find them at vapourart.com. I think
You'll find them an acceptable replacement.
For those of you sticking with mark bugs. I get it. The products are nice. They just have literally no business sense and almost no support.
For example. When they finally replied to my emails They very nicely send the wae 18500 tube at no charge. . But yet haven't managed to figure out the insulator I've been waiting 2 months for and can't properly use the stainless gem without it being replaced or using a razor knife to shave it away
Speaking of insulators - Does everyone with a ti gem have an insulator that easily falls out of the base? Mine separates every washing unlike the stainless gem which seems like it's permanently fixed.
Maybe that was an upgrade
As for me. If I wanted to own 100 atomizers I'd buy clones. When I buy a premium product I expect premium support and loyalty to their customers paying hundreds maybe thousands into their pockets instead of buying $40 atomizers or waiting for clones to Come out. Customers make you. They can break you. To think differently is completely out of control hubris
Ps. Consistency in quality and quality assurance is another must have that mark bugs doesn't have.
I will Probably continue to use and enjoy what I have (if I ever get the 510 sorted out after two months I'm skeptical) and accept that I cannot resell any of it to find further atomizers. I will likely not however continue down a path with this company who either plan so poorly or care so little.
Pss I do realize there is a very limited minority of vapors with endless finances to put into this hobby / addiction / smoking cessation. But understand the vast majority of those buying authentics do so at the understanding the loss on resale of said authentics in the first year is typically not more than 15-20% at an absolute maximum and that limited edition runs increase in value and aren't duplicated then improved eight weeks later. This model also allows a large portion of potential new customers to become exposed to said authentics.
I bought my first gem used at about 15-20% below msrp. I wouldn't have paid more and it led to three gems after and a wae - none of which would have been purchased without that initial second hand market which won't exist as prices plummet people will just hold on. So they're also limiting expansion of the customer base imo

Haven't need to test MB customer sevice.
WAE IIs have performed daily without any issues for over 20 months.
Gems SS and Ti have also performed daily without issues since I received them.
Sorry for your misfortunes, but my experiences have been very satisfying.
