At 6 wraps you should be getting a heck of a lot more - maybe 5-6 ohms!
How are you measuring? What is the measurement between the silver posts?
Try taking the coil off and measure the ohms between the posts, should be
open. Also try to check the continuity between the atty connector at the
bottom and each wire. There has got to be a short somewhere. Likely guess
is that the mesh is shorting.

Here you go....

A close up picture of the wick and coil would be best.

It looks like you have too many coil wraps.

I would start with 3 or 4 coil wraps.

It is easier to manage fewer wraps when starting out and you really only need about 3 to 5 wraps anyway...

The Genisis atty works great at lower voltages.

RCXD check the ohms from the pos to neg also to the mesh. If there is any continuity to the mesh the coil is shorted sometimes if you pull the mesh off the bottom. figure about .5 ohms per wrap if it is off more than .5 ohms the coil is shorted. Dont wrap the kanthal overly tight on the mesh. If you can give us the ohms readings that will help

Thing is i do not have a voltmeter. Was using the provari to test. I think it might have shorted out. Tried on other batts and they can't fire, and the batt was hot.

Thing is, i made 20-25 coils of 32awg kanthal and the bulli kanthal. Both were no good. Every coil done would be a LO or 1.3 then drop to 0.8 then LO again on the provari. I oxidize the super fine #400 mesh with a lighter. Not butane lighter. Burn it till it glows, then dip it into the water. About 5 times.

Should be enough right? I did everything according to del's video. And i end up with the LO or below 1.5 ohm on the provari. Funny thing is that yesterday when i got it, i set it up. And it was fine but there was a burning taste. Then i fiddled with it again and started shorting out like crazy. I really want this unit to work. Sorry if i blabber too much. Thank you for the replies guys. Appreciate it alot.

I to am struggling to get to grips with the line, coil after coil after coil shorting out, think I've followed everything correctly to the letter, but am still having problems. I envy those that just seem to oxidise the mesh, then wrap and vape, the youtube of Dell and company in the pub spurs me on though! amazing!

Will continue to soak up information re-line and genisis builds in the hope that something will register in this half brain of mine as it's usually something simple that you tend to miss? this is my first after all.

I still wish I'd ordered another as it oozes quality! Let's hang in there RCXD the end results gonna be worth it!

All else fails, I'm taking a holiday to croatia and that pub Dell was in lol

@Scope: I boil the mesh first to get out any impurity, roll it, burn it red hot 6 times, in between cold water and roll on paper to dry. After that I unroll the mesh, clean it in water, still stuff coming out, so it is needed IMHO. then roll it again, apply liquid, burn with lighter, do this two or three times, then take the Kanthal, burn that first until red hot, wrap and all should be good....good luck, you will get it right bro!!
