As you can see copper has a high conductivity. But it is toxic so we cant use that.
If we use gold , well , Line would be in the price range of a gold Rolex.
So silver is the only solution to get the best out of genesis system.
In version two we will use hard silver wire (18G, 99.999%).
I am testing it , so far , it works great. It is much harder. You cant bend it , it stays in place.

Are you saying 18 grams of silver to make two small posts? How does two small terminal post of silver add up to well over .5oz? What are the diameter and length of the posts you are putting in?

Felíz año nuevo !!! :D

I'm still waiting for my Line (first round) f... Mexican postal service :( meanwhile I have received the Mini (last week) and was playing with it and want to share something that could be useful for others (it could apply to the Line also).

I have made like 10 wicks and 10 coils, so far I had having problems of the type: coil red glowing on the silver terminals end, wick not wicking properly the liquid and so on (the mesh has been very well oxidized, the Kanthal wire was tightened to the silver terminals, tryied different combinations of liquid 100%VG, 70%VG -30%PG, 80%PG - 20%VG, etc.).

First thing I have noticed was I always ended with thin mesh it always was too loose on the liquid container access hole with the recommended mesh dimensions (37mm long and 27mm - 25mm wide: www.elektronske-cigarete.info/forum/index.php?topic=894.msg11150#msg11150 or Line 24x38mm, MiniGen 24x32mm: www.elektronske-cigarete.info/forum/index.php?topic=894.msg11752#msg11752), due this I ended cutting a 50mm wide x 35 mm long, this wick wasn't wicking properly and it was almost impossible to not have the kanthal red glowing on the end that connects to the silver terminals, tryied with different mesh sizes, oxidized lot of times using different techniques and recommendations).

After some reading I found out Del Boy posted about no to use the 400 super fine mesh, I didn't have idea of what kind of 400 mesh I was using, I was using one that was included with the Scubagen V3 coop, I think it is ultrafine or superfine 400 mesh, I have compared it with another 400 mesh I have and the Scubagen V3 one was softer.

So finally I made a new mesh roll with the harder mesh, 35mm long x 27mm wide, it fitted perfectly, made a 2ohms coil (3-4 turns 34 awg kanthal wire) and voilà! all my previous problems solved, wick wicking properly, no red glowing kanthal, lot of vapor, good throat hit.

Personal conclusion:

mesh type plays a big role on the Mini performance and Del Boy text:
SS mesh #400 (do not use super fine)
is very important.

If you are having problems with your Line / Mini setup, check your 400 mesh type.

:)

That is why i love this type of atty. You can play with it , find your perfect setup and enjoy.
You can see that you have around 100 different advices on how to make a perfect setup.
But it all depends on mesh , kanthal , the way you wrap your coils. I know people that
use 0.20 kanthal on provari with Line , and i was convinced that it was something wrong with mine.
Becouse i had to use 0.16 , with 0.20 i get low Ohm. But then my friend comes
and wraps 0.20 on my Line and it worked perfectly. But i still use 0.16 , got use to it and
it is perfect for me.

Well said! Who could have put it better? Coz no 2 vapers are alike - we all have our perfect vape and what works for one may not work for another the way they would want it to...

Thanks for that post-i guess I screwed up. I ordered 400 superfine mesh from the meshcompany, and got 2 sheets, with 2 extra (that appear to be 300). I know nothing about mesh-and just clicked on the 400 type-i believe all that came up was 'super fine.' What other types are there?

You will find out if it is the correct mesh when rolling it with the recommended measurements, if it is too loose in the hole is not the correct one, like happened to me with the first one I was using :(

Hi Del

Do you still use fibre inside the mesh when making a wick for the line?

Does it make a difference?

Cheers
Mike

No , not any more. It did make a difference , more juice on the coils.
But i am to lazy for that, i do not even oxidize the mesh like i should.
