We could just skip prez and vp and just go for a comittee, this is working pretty well as it is right now!!!!
Our intention to invite local vendors to the meet isn't some nefarious attempt to drum up money for them. It's so that we all have a chance to get to meet and get to know our local vendors. Will some sales occur as a result of that? I'm quite sure that they will, but that's not the primary reason we've invited them to attend, or invited them to make donations for door prizes.
This is intended to be fun for all. A chance to meet other vapers, a chance to share systems and juices, a chance to meet local vendors, a chance to network with each other.
I'm excited - and I'm with MikenGA - I think we need to plan another planning committee meeting in January just to make sure we have all our t's crossed and i's dotted.......ok - we just need to have another meeting because February is too far off!![]()
I think you misread him a bit, Rab. What I believe he was saying is that stuff like Vendors and juice samples are nice, but the real reason he's attending is to hang out with other vapers. I don't believe he was knocking on the decision to invite vendors.
As far as the ATL Vapers Club, I'll start another thread on that soon. I've just got to get these two Finals out of the way. Sociology and Computer Concepts. Yay.
Committee sounds the best, I was just joking with ChaosMaybe next committee meeting we could pick a quieter section, or location. It was a bit rowdy where we were sitting. right in front of the Big Screen LOL
And yes, go max those finals, Chaos![]()

Sounds good, just thought I would offer. If you ever have questions about Peruvian pre-Incan or early trade networks in the South West I am your man. I was an archaeologist before I turned spatial programmer, and my Undergrad Thesis was in Trade Networks in the South West, specifcally Chaco Canyon into Casas Grandes and the surrounding regions. Cool thing is, one of my professors recently announced they discovered cacoa in the pottery at Chaco, really big deal!!!
I've read about the Chaco Canyon. I think it was in a Douglas Preston/Lincoln Childs book. Cool stuff. Bizarre how the Anasazi just suddenly disappeared.
Just talked to the manager at OTG. Apparently when they planned the meet back in May they promised him it would be a monthly event, and got him to waive the normal $150 fee. He's not willing to do that again since they didn't follow through on it. I think we can easily collect $150 from attending vendors if we just ask $25 a piece, and then maybe take a bit of the Raffle money to cover any shortfall. Where we stand now is we need a $150 deposit to book the room.
