Sorry for the MIA... had some things come up. The first picture of mods is getting the finish put on now and will be wired up and ready to go right after drying. the other ones will be about a week behind them :)

Wow, I'm looking through the pile for mine, and I don't even have one in the works!

Brad, have you looked into the dna boards? Could you do one that would take a recessed Ody or Penelope? That would be a strange adaptor to fit either. Might have to put on my thinking cap to come up with the perfect Grip for me. Haven't been on the waiting list for a long time.

So - uhh - Hi! I'm not dead yet.

Although I almost was - Making my way back - lots of confusion..

I came back to "life" to nothing - quite literally. Somewhere along the way all my vaping gear was disposed of as well. I'm slowly making my way around, remembering things, .. Wanted to say hi to Matt and Brad's threads.

And I guess I'm shopping for a new mod and the whole setup again so I'll be poking around.

Bear w/ me as my memory is more than a little shot due to the past nine months but I do remember Matt and Brad's threads fairly well. Cheers, -Mags

I,ve been toying a bit in what little spare time I have.

This has been a side project I've been playing with since the DNA first came to me back in April lol (I did say in my little spare time)

2 DNA boards switchable from one or 2 boards. so 5-12 watts on the slide potentiometer or flip the small black switch for 10-24 watts on the slide ;) (yes 2 boards is a bit excessive and costly but had to try it LOL)
USB charge port on the bottom
2000mAh 30c rated lipo battery (will be a plug in user replaceable
Using Damascus steel compostie for the panels.

here's the mod after the damascus panels were put in. still needs to be polished to a shine and atty inset and all :)

Just e-mailed an order for one. Good to see some being finished and and mailed so you can work your way to mine...lol. These are just beautiful I finally had to order one.

cool... I'll try to respond yet before I go to bed, but if not I will tomorrow (or *looks at current time*...I guess later today LOL)

Here's one of the machine shop projects... hoping to get the prototype later this week ;)

This is a newer composite steel being around 90% stainless steel and about 5% carbonite

Here is some info about the material

Metal that has been deconstructed to the macro molecular level, re-alloyed and then reconstructed creating a completely new metal composite material. Metal deconstruction requires very specialized equipment (see photo) that super heats the metal and then shoots it with water, gas or plasma causing it to explode into molecules of specific shape and size. Combining high concentrations of this macro molecular metal with highly refined chemical binders creates a chemical reaction that causes the molecules to crosslink forming a new and in many cases superior molecualr structure.

One of the many unique characteristics is that it is electronically depleted and will not cause electrolysis within its own structure.
This means that new combinations of metals, even those combining dissimilar metals are now possible. Scientists and engineers can now create lightweight metal composites that combine the properties of many metals whether they are compatible or not. The founders discovered that this technology allowed them to modernize the ancient Japanese art of "Mokume Gane" (which means "wood grained metal") as well as "Damascus Steel". Beautiful “ Mokume Gane” , “ Damascus Steel” and exotic pattern metals of unlimited combinations are not only possible, but financially viable as the process is much more cost effective than traditional “Mokume” methods.

The new composite metal has the same visual characteristics of the source metal with some very unique new characteristics some of which are noted as follows:

Lighter than the source metal (or metals)

In many cases stronger than the source metal

Surface will patina like source metal

Cut, shape and drill with standard wood grade tooling

Impervious to almost all chemicals

Will not corrode

Holds a gem quality finish without clear coat

Mokume Gane with high concentrations of copper are antimicrobial and antifouling

Will not conduct electricity

Allows for the re-alloying of dissimilar metals

Scratch resistant with high polish

A new breed of composite materials that make everything from the Stealth Bomber to the International Space Station possible. Additionally recognized for its astounding aesthetic properties, gem quality finish and heirloom characteristics; These Metal Composites allow the artisan to transcend the barrier between art and craft and transform handcrafted objects into the finest heirloom quality luxury goods.

These materials are made with high purity metals and other exotic elements
that have been deconstructed to the macro-molecular level, re-alloyed and then reconstructed with highly refined chemical binders. Heat, pressure and an exothermic chemical reaction cause the molecules to cross link forming a new material with a unique macro-molecular structure. Because the molecules are distributed homogenously the new material gains the benefit of all the unique characteristics of the individual components.

Originally developed for aerospace and the military the engineers uncovered a host of aesthetic qualities that build on the remarkable benefits of these materials. The proprietary process together with the natural interplay of the metals and elements
creates exotic metal colors, beautiful random wood grain patterns and metal combinations that were never before possible. Deep, dimensional, mirror finishes with galactic star field qualities make for a surface that is mesmerizing and lasting.

Engineered to be dense and stable with a high strength-to-weight ratio, These composites will hold the finest of detail.
Colors and patterns run completely through the material and the finished product is beautiful, lightweight, very strong, comfortable to wear and to touch and will last for many generations.

An exciting new space age material that is just now being recognized for its remarkable beauty, strength and futuristic properties. Millions of dollars have been spent perfecting this material for the aerospace, medical, marine, architectural and other industries. The skin of the Space Shuttle, the Stealth Bomber and the International Space Station all contain examples of this remarkable new material.
It is electronically depleted so that it will not conduct electricity or promote electrolysis allowing for new metal alloys that are just not possible in nature.
It is very strong and holds a deep mirror finish.
