Well. some people are just more sensitive to flavors and lack thereof than others, I guess. Wish I could help.

That said, here's a short video that might be useful on twisting wire.

I’ll give that a watch in a little here. I knew the flavor was going - here’s a pic of the coil like 10 minutes later lol

Okay so instead of switching the airflow I figured I would try a 3.0mm ID coil. I used the same amount of Rayon I was using in the 2.5 coils (I had cut a piece in half earlier, and decided I would see if it fit in this one). Not super tight, but the same amount of resistance I would use for regular cotton. The flavor is better than I was getting before, so I wonder if I was just using too much rayon? (I didn’t think that was possible). I also raised the coil so it sits flush with the top post. I had the 2.5 coil pretty much as close as possible to the airflow. Will report back after half a tank and see what my coil is looking like.

Well, I don't know what to tell you. You got me.

And if that juice is "super clear" then why is your wick that grey color after 10 minutes of low wattage vaping?

What brand of wire are you using and what type of metal is it (Kanthal, Nichrome, Ni200, Stanless Steel, etc)?

I have no idea lol. I mean, it’s definitely got the least amount of sweeteners out of any juice I have. Most are a dark yellow/amber, this one is a pale yellow if not clear.

All of my wire is from Master Wire Supply (Amazon) and it’s all SS316L

Just tried to make a twisted 32 - after I took it off the rod it got all messed up, doesn’t seem to want to maintain its rigidity.
You need a drill for that (no other way) it's very easy but without a drill don't even go there. It's a super easy way to end up with a twisted wire, You can order twisted wire from FT if you want. Might be better for you (yes it will take a long time) but worth the wait. The thing about twisted wire is it's simple but has good qualities (more surface area but also low mass) It's a very good option.

There's an easy way to make twisted wire without a drill, you just need some lockable grips/pliers and a cup or carabiner with some weight attached.

Just take a length of wire, pass it through the handle or carabiner and secure the ends with the grips/pliers. You just need enough weight to take the slack out of the wire.

Now making sure to keep the tension, start twisting by using the cup or carabiner.

You'll know when it's done, as the loop at the end will snap.

It takes a while but you do end up with some good quality results, it's possibly a good rainy day activity.

No, yeah, I use a drill. But once I take it out of the drill and try to wrap it, it won’t maintain its shape. So if I wrap it around a 2.5mm coil jig, once I release the pressure, the legs move in opposite directions and the coil expands to a larger ID
