Irony: When the 40+ year smoker in the house makes fun of me vaping (I was a 17 year smoker). I get all the jabs like 'that looks like drugs' 'that looks like smoke to me, I'm not fooled'.

I just shrug it off and remind myself that I haven't smoked in 48 hours and I feel fine so far. Who will be laughing last?

So how do you respond when you are in the middle of an empty parking lot, in a place where vaping is allowed, and someone feels the need to come outside to give you a hard time about it? That's what happened to me. I wasn't imposing on him with my vaping. No, he wanted to "save me" from vaping with a bunch of Antz talking points from all the well known false studies :glare:

Just tell him "suck my...mod"!!

Well some people are well intentioned but misinformed.

I personally try to distinguish between the snooty false cough and a guy who genuinely wants to help with the info he saw on TV.

Why would the guy want to help? What I mean is the guy did not see some idiot about to lock their dog or child in a car during the hot Florida summer. That would be someone IMO who needs to be told the danger of what they are about to do. I do not find someone who randomly approaches someone to tell them their opinion about something that is not illegal or harming anyone in that moment helpful.

It is just nosey and instrusive.

Perhaps you are unclear of accepted norms in a society...

or perhaps you're dragging this off track...

It's all situational. Had I been in the US or UK, I would have stopped vaping.

uh huh... :glare:

that is all. no need for any more rhetoric. or is that an accepted norm here? in your opinion?

Hi mrstick right now were at sinea hospital in LA ^ Beverly Hills. I cant dpell the hospitals name lol. Its huuuuge tho.

I hope he gets out soon. . It is a fantastic hospital. I am near disneyland. About 35-40 miles away and about 3 hours away on the 5 freeway lol. Well Vape on.. MY wife works at Children's Hospital in OC, and rule of thumb is to not vape around there. She restrains until she is on lunch or on her way out. But she recently got an office almost all to herself, so maybe she is stealth vaping... =)

Yes, given the society we live in and the propensity for some to go overboard( just look at those who can't even have rational discussions), I wouldn't vape in the non smoking section of a restaurant in the US. It is the norm in Prague for non-smokers to vape in non smoking sections of restaurants...

ummm... here = this site...

i get that you're a cool guy IRL and all. i can't deny that whether we disagree on basic principles and their reality or not. (though, methinks we agree more than we let on, just get caught up on menial things)

i don't vape in restaurants or bars, period. it's rude. i'm a grown up. i don't care whether it's allowed or not. now... if i have to voop... well... there might be something fruity amidst the suspended particulates... but you won't prove anything.

but... can we be grown ups about this? can you accept that i simply don't believe you and move on? i'm going to think you're going to make a choice regardless what the rules are. you're a vaper that used to be a smoker. i think you'd vape in your car in new orleans. i may be being cynical, but it has nothing to do with prague either way.

You should stop replying to my posts then. I don't reply to those I feel are not capable of having an intelligent discussion. You just don't seem to understand things are different in different societies. I don't even drink in the US, let alone would drink in public, or be intoxicated in public, but in Prague it is accepted and the norm, same as vaping in non smoking sections. it isn't rude, except to some tourists who want Prague to be like the nanny state they came from...
