I understand what your saying and why. But remember when you conduct yourself responsibly when you vape or smoke your not seen as the problem.

um sure. This all started long before vaping was mainstream. Most of those that are pushing the laws through have no clue about e-cigarettes. Most have never even seen a person that vapes.

Adding: Those that are wanting vaping to go away are only in it for the money. Read the link to the post that I posted earlier.

More than likely they were like me and bought into the lies that were spewed about smoking, or more specifically, second hand smoke.

I see them using the same tactics against vaping. It may have taken me a while to wake up but I have and I am fighting back now.

But a great number of the protester vapors want to be disassociated from smokers and don't care about them. Many only care about their vaping and now being disassociated they have become even a smaller voice. I see it all the time here.

To which I do my best to keep educating.

I get the impression many feel they are better than smokers and feel the need to show off that they are not smoking...

All the groups involved are in it for profit, no doubt. Tobacco, e CIG manufactures, e liquid manufactures, distributors, wholesalers, everyone.

I don't see that. Well, not that much. There are some that are pretty adamant about disassociating themselves, but most are happy to just be able to stop smoking. Some have to feel that strongly about cigarettes in order to keep from smoking again. Human nature.

Look, face it, many of us have tried to quit smoking. Over and over and over... Well! Hallelujah! Finally we were able to. OMG we have been told for YEARS that smoking will kill us, second hand smoke will harm our loved ones!

It takes time to reverse that thinking. Some never get to that point. We Are Human. We Are Fallible.

Look, a lot of us would prefer to smoke and vape everywhere we go, some of us remember when we could smoke almost anywhere, but the fact is that's not the society most of us live in now.

I believe its fairly simple. Smoke and vape where its permitted. If its not permitted don't do it there. I don't find that logic to be overly harsh on anyone.

My issue is with whom and how gets to decide where it's permitted. Right now it looks like oppression of minorities. There's no dialogue and no opennes to find something acceptable to all parties involved. Dicature in it's purest form.

I don't remember them positioning e-cigs as a "tobacco product".

Maybe you over looked the new way to smoke adds, or the new cigarette, or the very name e cigarette. They completely cuddled up to the tobacco users.

CASAA isn't and they are fighting for vapers.
No.
Not all.
I'm not.

Don't want to debate you but there's not many not for profits where someone isn't profiting. Which is the same reason many of these groups refuse to open their books even to their own members.

As a Brit I get confused about the US anytime we see your politicians on TV they are always talking about freedom either protecting it or working to introduce it all over the place and over the last couple of years I've got the impression many ordinary Americans seem to have a lot of stuff limited or restricted. Now in the UK we hold most politicians in total contempt as self serving trough feeders who wouldn't know honesty if it punched them in the face but on vaping for once they are being intelligent it's very disconcerting. They are waiting on studies and consulting the medical profession as well as listening to vaping advocacy before coming to a conclusion although as things stand a minimum age, quality standards for liquids and a possible standard for hardware are likely as well as a level of taxation. If you'd have asked me which country would be harder on vaping without seeing forums I'd have said the US would be the better place to be a vaper but seems it's the opposite.

I think you're right, but don't you have to have a gub'mint license to put a TV antenna up?
I've always said that in order to run for office in the first place you to have sold your soul.
Everybody everywhere wants to tell me what I can or can't do.
