I don't know how old you are, but if you are over 18 you can just move out. When I was young my mom would nag at just about everything I did. Although smoking was probably the thing she nagged most about. I got tired of it and just moved. All of a sudden I could do whatever I wanted whenever I wanted.

The downside was that I moved in with my girlfriend. It turned out to be a nightmare, but that's another story. But at least I could smoke whenever I wanted, turn my stereo up as loud as I wanted and a whole plethora of other things that our parents would not approve of!!!

They might not have the money to move out. My son that is 28 is living with me again. I live in CT and it's hard to get a full time job and if you have a part time job and can land another it's hard to get on the same schedule. My oldest daughter just moved out and she is just skimming it. She's also looking for another job and hasn't been able to land one. I'm still looking for a job myself and haven't been able to. The USA is falling apart and nobody wants to hire full time anymore. They save money this way as they don't have to give you nothing if part time( insurance, retirement) My last job was only giving me 4 hours a week..WTH is 4 hours finally told them to take the job and shove it. But that 4 hours would have paid for my juice but not gas to drive to work..lol

Nah just wanted to let some frustration out. Going to give the cold turkey a go and then look at other options if that fails.

I really hope that the cold turkey works for you. I find it sad that you can't vape in your situation, but sometimes life throws us curve balls in the form of other people.

However things turn out, I only hope that you don't end up back on the cigs.

This makes me sad. Please reconsider what you are doing. As a parent myself, I don't understand how your mom's not supportive of you quitting smoking and vaping instead. Is it that she does not understand it or why would she want your vaping supplies out of the house? Does she think it's some kind of drug *besides nicotine* or something? I'm so sorry she's not supportive but please don't let that make you go backnowledge to smoking! Please! Rethink this please.

True.

But, I'd think you'd have to be pretty committed to get one.

I don't think that's necessarily true. I see a lot of newbies posting that they got a Provari. I think there is so much commentary about them on this forum that folks want them as soon as they can possibly afford them and some of those folks are not going to be vaping a year down the road (maybe) and will be selling their Provaris in the classys.

That is very unfortunate to hear. I wish there were some words of wisdom that could alter your situation for the better but such escapes me at the moment.

Choices, we all have them, some just aren't easy to swallow. Yet and still each of us must play with the hand we are dealt.

You don't need to hear it from me, but I want you to know I support your right to make decisions for yourself.

Consider all your options and decide what is best for you and follow that path. However it goes you have friends here who will at the very least stand behind you and provide whatever moral support we can.

Not to discredit their quit (have a friend who quit with it too) and i guess whatever works, but i wouldn't recommend Chantix to my worst enemy after seeing the number of people who either killed themselves (500+) or tried to kill themselves (1600+) in 2013 alone, while taking it.

It definitely messes with you, even my friend said it made you feel VERY weird.

    :2c:

Besides having weird dreams they didnt have other side affects from it, yeah everyone handles drugs differently for sure
