The battery life and low capacity I can live with, part of the cost of being small.

I have started day 2 of testing out the eRoll.

I am not getting the same performance others have reported using an eRoll, it very well could be the juices I am using.

I am not getting as much vapor as some people report, the taste is muted and I taste plastic.

On day one I was going side by side with a 3.7v cigalike with 1.7ohm carto. I am doing the same thing with a two ohm carto.

The cigalike the 2ohm carto is outperforming the eRoll.

On paper it makes sense that a 3.7 sized cigalike would holds it's own (actually winning). Both are running the same volts, one is using a tank and separate atomizer, the other a cartomizer. I thought from reviews that this atomizer might be having some efficiency over the cartomizer.

I have seen reviews where people say this is blowing away other cigalikes. While it does if you carefully select batteries and cartomizers I am finding the contest very close.

How are you guys getting your vape performance out of these?

I've had the Ovale Mini (same thing apparently) for a week now and really enjoy it so far. The PCC takes care of the short battery life, one Mini is always on charge while I vape the other. And I loaded the tanks with Arctic Wolf from VaporGod, arguably the most intense menthol juice available ...

I read in another post here on ECF that one guy has a "pack" of eRolls and just switches to another fully charged and loaded one each time the battery dies or the juice runs out. Can't afford that, but I just ordered 2 more batteries and cones, and a 5 pack of tanks, to rotate between 4 units through the day, and the carrying case that holds the PCC and a second Mini ...

Using the 1.8 ohm atomizers, a high nic juice, the PCC, and multiple units seems to compensate for the small size, which was the attraction in the first place, being a stealth vaper. The eRoll or Mini is tiny enough to completely hide in your hand ...

Also, the PCC looks very much like an iPhone, so it raises no questions from law enforcement or Customs agents ...

I'll stick with the Mini until someone develops a more durable alternative, maybe with the next generation of batteries optimized for the short burst drain that vapers need ...

I will not carry the PCC. I only use it when I want a hands free device.

It is the flavor I have having the biggest problem with, vapor production is also not up to par.

I would not want my eRoll to produce any more vapor. It already will fog up an entire barroom which can be a little embarrassing at times.

And I know you said you won't use the eRoll very often, so you won't be carrying the PCC, but it simply wouldn't work for me (and I assume others here as well) because I rip through a tank and a battery charge every vaping session.

I will admit that you have to find a compatible juice that wicks well with the eRoll, though.

Best of luck!

I would recommend changing the atomizer and seeing if there is a difference. In my experience, the Ego-C atty is pretty lacking in consistency and the biggest drawback to the eRoll. I would go as far as to say four in ten aren't always up to speed out of the box. Sometimes you can adjust the wick by pushing it down or pulling it up in the spike a touch and it will make a big difference. When you finally get one that has a good easy draw, lots of crackle, and good vapor production, you will have a standard to go by.
Also, I have found if you wash the tanks well in hot water it helps to get rid of the static in the plastic that hinders juice flow.

I carry two devices at all times. The eRoll is just for hands free use.

On the fog, I am obviously doing something wrong because my 510 cigalike is beating it on vapor. I will try other juices.

Other people seem to be getting good performance so I am doing something not right.

I am running 4 batteries and atomizers right now. I will try messing with the wick and try that with the tanks.

I found the PCC fits nicely in a dress shirt pocket, but its just heavy enough that I'm always conscious of it. In a jacket pocket its OK ...

The tip about tweaking the wick on the atomizer is a good one, and Ovale recommends "priming" the atomizer with a few drops of juice. I've gotten in the habit of flooding a new atty with 15 or 20 drops, so there's no dry hit on startup ...

I've been cleaning the tanks with alcohol, but I'll try warm water in a needle tip bottle, see if that prevents static ...

For now, I like the Mini. But in a month or so I'll be infatuated with something else ...

I do prime the atomizer.

I will not be carrying to PCC as I don't want to have to pull out the case and open it. I just want to grab the eRoll out of the pocket. It is easier to carry four assembled eRolls than a case.

I carry either a Provari or an Iken 900mAH auto in my left pants pocket at all times when I am out and around.

I haven't actually started carrying it yet, just testing. I cannot get it to beat out what I am already carrying in my shirt pocket yet.

My eRoll definitely outperforms my 808 cigalikes and 510 cigalikes. Are you using genuine parts? I've heard people say that you get genuine from fasttech, but I have my doubts. Where did you get your device from?

I've also found that different liquids perform differently in the eRoll, maybe try a different liquid.

I have never used Fasttech. I got them from a domestic dealer. This has the proper serial number and everything.

What might be making the difference is I am running at 3.7v like the eRoll but on cigalikes I am using 1.8-2.0 ohm cartomizers including Ikenvapes excellent cartomizer. I am getting more flavor and vapor from this combination.

My eroll hits harder than any 808 cigalites or even my egos. It's a small powerhouse. What juice are you using?

Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

I have tried HHV White Lies, HHV Crackberry, MBV Thug Juice, and MBV Pie Crust. All 18mg nic. The HHV is 70/30 and the MBV is 65/35.

I have to be doing something wrong. I only have one 3.7 eGo device. It is a short 350mAh shorty running Ikenvape LR. It is easily outperforming my eRoll set ups. The other eGo types I have are the Iken 3.96 regulated automatics but that is not fair since they have so much more voltage.

The cigalikes I compared with it side by side is two different 510 batteries that are 3.7 regulated with an Ikenvape LR cartomizer. I know I have typed Ikenvape a lot but every delivery system I use had an Iken product in it except for the eRoll. This is edging out the eRoll on every side by side that I have done.

Not sure why except that it might be the lower ohms.

What I would like to see is a thin carrying case for 4 or more charged and loaded eRolls, to allow switching flavors. I got the PCC case with the extra compartment for a second unit, but now I've started carrying two filled and capped tanks in the slot ...

One of those White Cloud flip-top cases (looks like a better quality NJOY case) would be perfect, but the holes are just a bit too small, and if opened up, would "figure-8", overlapping each other. Going to have a machinist friend mill out the holes into a single slot, then it should hold 3 or 4 units. But a padded case designed just for the eRoll/Mini would be better ...

Also got the replacement tank caps, to get more mileage out of the tanks without seepage. One of my objections with the Ovale Elips was leakage from the tanks after the filling hole gets enlarged from repeated insertion of the atomizer spike. Got some very small silicone o-rings on order that may solve this problem. The Elips has o-ring seals at the bottom of the atty to protect the battery contact, and another on the mouthpiece shell, but when the tank starts to seep, some juice leaks out of the air inlets. A seal on the tank would prevent this ...

OK, that's my wish list for the Elips and eRoll ... :D

I am calling it quits on the eRoll and will for now continue to use my last cigalike set up. I do have another cigalike set up in route to see how it works out.

If you find a combination about the same size with better performance, I'm all for that ... :vapor:

Hands free or stealth, same parameters. I'll stay tuned ...

My only disappointment so far with the Mini and the Elips is that I can't chain vape, they overheat too fast ...

I have two eRoll PCC's now and the two cases with the extra slot. That makes four eRolls ready to rock and roll.

I've got into the habit of taking the eRoll from the side slot of the extension case, then when I'm finished vaping, I swap out the one that was in the PCC, to the side slot and put the just vaped eRoll in the PCC.

If have four different flavors going. I made a tiny dot on the atty cone with some nail polish, and corresponding dots on the ejuice bottle that I used. No more doing the sniff test..... :p.

I'm VERY happy with this setup! I bought my cases from Joyetech UK, in case anyone wants to know.

How do you carry carts/juice?
