Hello all. The deal is this, I have a cigirex e cig. i love to smoke it but some of its features are really getting on my nerves. The first thing is, i hate cartomisers. do they sell a product with a tank for juice with no cotton, wicks, burnt taste, etc. i just want something simple and easy to refill that will last long.. as in not burn out i dont care if i have to refill often. carts are super expensive. i just want some sort of tank.

im not really into the whole flavors thing so i dont need to change cartridges. right now i just f]refill my carts with straight usp glycerine and i love it.

My battery life really sucks. id be glad to get two hours out of it. it wont let me draw as long as i want because its automatic. i want good battery life.

what are your best suggestions? also im a college student and i have not much money. although i would be able to make a slightly larger investment if it would last a long time with little to no maintenance. especially if i could just refill it with juice and not deal with annoying cartomisers. and have really good battery life.

So.... What are your best suggestions? I really appreciate all of your time to look at what i need and helping me out, thanks.

**EDIT** I also like really thick smoke and that is pretty important.

Heyas Buster,

The only tank setup I have personal experience with is the ego-t. The ego batteries are great. a 650mah lasts me for more than a day of vaping on one charge, and ego batts are available up to 1000mah or more if you want an even longer lasting charge. Although I love my ego, I wasn't too thrilled with the tank setup. I didn't have any of the leaking issues that some have had. My only complaint was that the ego-t LR atty didn't produce as much flavor as a boge LR carto. But, since you're not interested in flavor, that shouldn't be an issue for you. Other than that, the tank setup was great. Lasted a long time on 1 tank fill, and I could see how much juice was left just by tilting it down.

Liberty flights has about the lowest prices on an ego-t starter kit that I've come across, at least as far as stateside vendors. They charge $52 for a 650mah kit, $55 for a 900mah kit, with the 20%off coupon code or button (upper left corner of the site).

There are third party tanks out there for a variety of batt types, but I don't have any personal experience with them, so will let others chime in on them.

Even the EGO tank systems use an atomizer with a wick. You can't get away from some type of wick or filler because you need something to transport the juice to the coil. A coil submerged in juice will not work. I recommend the CE2 deluxe fluxomizer as the best compromise. If you keep it above 1/2 full it wicks very fast. They also last a long time if cleaned once a week and are very easy to clean. I am on my fourth week with them and they still work great.

You can put a "tank" type atty on any model with a better battery. Being a collage student and wanting to watch the money you spend, you should consider the E-Power 510. The batteries for the E-Power cost $4 - $5 whereas the batteries for the eGo or Riva cost $14 - $20. Plus, the E-Power batteries last 3 -4 times longer than the eGo/Riva batteries. The starter kits for all three cost about the same and the performance is as good or better on the E-Power:

e-Power

And here is a tank to put on the E-Power:

eGo/Riva class batts with CE2 clearomizers. The single coils are about $10 for a box of 5 and last a long time. You can buy a Riva 510 kit for $29.95 at Liberty flights. The Riva will give you 3.7v batts at 750mah. These will last you 5-6 hours or more between charges. Click the 20% off icon to see the above price.

I was an eGo guy for a long time until I purchased my SS GGTS. It is a little expensive up front, but it is nice just carrying around spare batteries and just dropping them in whenever the TH starts to get weak. You don't necessarily have to go that route. I, however, have gone the way of mods and love it.

I also carry around a NoEgo (pretty much the same thing as the Epower) as a backup. I have the 18650 and 14650 versions. They are pretty good, but once I started vaping at 6v on my GGTS it became difficult to enjoy anything of a lower voltage.

Somewhere out there
How much are you willing to spend? Lots of options out there. I have searched and searched and I love my KR808's but also just ordered a GLV super mini for more batt life and the options are quite varied of using carts or cartos, and tanks with it. But the super min needs and extension for tanks, but they have other models too that don't need extensions and even more batt power. They do have a wait for building tho, so not a place that does rush orders. Anyway just one more place to look. check Forum suppliers for ideas and pricing. Great lakes Vapor is the one I choose. bnrk

You can always get a GG with a whole bunch of alphabet soup (can run you up to about $500.00), and then you can use any battery/s you want with enough juice on board to last for eternity.
Or you can build yourself a little box mod (for as little as $5.00), make a syringe tank, and enjoy the same vape.

The neat part of all this is that you get to choose how fancy your gear is, and how much you want to spend.
There really is a shoe for ever foot.

What you're looking for is the REO GRAND.
    1. 12 hour battery life between charges (or more, depending on user)
    2. holds a 6ml bottle (refill it every other day)
    3. Clean as a whistle, never leaks.
    4. Handles the LR 1.5 atty with ease (or you can use different batteries for 6v vaping with a HR atty)
    5. Produces tons of vapor with Boba's Bounty from AlienVisions ... oh, and from other juices from just about anyone.
    6. Extremely durable. It's all mechanical, no wires to frizzle.
    7. Built to last from Airplane Aluminum.
    8. Pleasure to use
    9. Well worth the money spent.
    10. Easy to direct drip any new flavor you want to try right this second even if it's still hooked up with your 6ml bottle of another flavor.

I'm a new vaper (no analogs for a month and a day! WOO!) so take my words with a grain of salt.
That said, I am very much enjoying my Provape-1 with a Big Daddy 5ml tank. I was initially worried about the 3.7 volts of the provape not being enough to give me a good storm cloud with the tank but it seems to work really well. It also looks super cool.
I switched from a penstyle, ciggy looking pv to the provape and I think I made a good decision. However, if I was to do it again, I might have gone with the Provari instead of the Provape. Ce la vie.
As for the BDV tank I couldn't be happier. Though it does still use a carto, the tank keeps it constantly moist so I don't get any of that gross burning flavour of the filler.
I also purchased some clearomizers that hold approx. 1.2ml of liquid. They use a much more efficient wicking system and I haven't gotten any burning flavour from them either. The best part about the tank and clearomizers so far (besides not having to top them off every 20 minutes) is that I don't get juice mouth! So that's cool.
If size is a concern I might not go the route I did as the Provape with the tank on there is pretty tall. About the height of a magic marker.
    And that's all I got!

so i think i am going to get the ego t with lr attys from liberty flights. i have 99.5% anyhdrous glycerine u.s.p. so I am also going to get some flavorings as follows: 5mg of ry4 5mg of latakia and 5mg of perique black. i want to move away from the nicotine but i still need some till i ramp it down. unfortunately i cannot find nicotine liquid on the website. can you help me? also, how long do you think the 15mg of flavoring will last me? what do you think of the flavors? thanks so much for all of your help.

I got tired of mine and just jumped right into building my own. I'm happy I did. If you aren't scared of ohm's law and soldering, it's something to think about. I've realized that I can now get exactly what I want, and most likely for less $$. I've been reading through some of the threads on here and some of the folks here have some ingeniously clever ideas.
