well i been vaping with my geyscano, i think i need some sqonking lessons.....i built a single .5 coil and it's sqonking but i just cannot seem to find a sweet spot or the rite drip-tip.....maybe i built it to low....everything is working like it should but just seems to hot....would appreciate some input.
i cleaned it real good with 99% ISO.

edit: took about half the rayon out of what i was using and now getting better results, i'm gonna figure this thing out.

The Greyscano's measurement of the Atomizer is often off. Mine shows .5 but I tested it with my tester to .64. It puts out the right voltage. Originally I didn't like the vape from the included rba then I re-wicked it. I use the celucotton and cut very close to the coil and folded under. I actually had to close the Air Slot Half way because it was too airy.

All Vape shops are so used to building for drippers that they don't realize that squonking is so easy you don't need a lot of filler. In addition I think they pack the cotton so tight that it doesn't wick properly.

Try making your Celucotton looser and see if that changes it..

Well it's been in use now for a week or so and here are my thoughts. With all it's faults which have been well noted in this thread I say it's not bad.....not good but not bad. I would tell any newbie to get one who wanted to try a bottomfed mod for the first time or a regulated mod for the first time to try. But if any preference of those 2 experiences is something they would like then research for the best device of either of those 2 experiences.

Another thing I noticed, when the battery indicator was one stop below half, I measured the voltage and was at 3.71 volts. When using my Reo mods the voltage rarely drops below 3.9 volts before I notice the performance drop. Have read that for good battery life, 3.8-3.9 volts is near ideal for charging.

I may put an older battery in the G-50 and run it down to the charge notice but would never do this with my newer batteries.

I've been running IMR batteries in regulated mods down to the usual cut-off of 3.3v for years now... I have some batteries almost 2 years old that still work well under load.

My oldest battery is right at a year old. Still works fine but, seems to run out of gas sooner than my newer batteries. It was used in regulated devices and only changed when the indicator told me. I have only used mech mods (Reo) for the last six months until getting the Geyscano so, there is a relearning curve.

I will say that at the indicated 25 watts, the battery life was longer in the Geyscano than the life of the same battery in a Reo with the noticeable performance drop using the same atomizer configuration.

i know it ain't that pretty, but it isn't slickery anymore; just something i had laying around

I just made a new post titled " Squonker Tubes Don't Forget To Snip"

About 4 days into this I was having trouble with the squonking. Then I realized that the tube at the bottom
is flat and when it makes connection with the bottle a pressure seal results and liquid won't pass through.

This is very easily remedied. Just take a scissors and cut the bottom of the tube at a slanted angle. Very small snip.
It squonks perfectly now.

I've been messing with mine since it arrived early today. :) All-in-all, I like it... I can do without the delay out of sleep-mode, but for the $$, it's pretty decent. The slight button rattle isn't enough to bother me at all. I can slide the door up / down easily, and it's not rubbing the VTC5 installed.

I threw my Nuppin' on, and it squonks / drains well. No problem with the tube coming off (yet). I'm running a single coil @ 1.2 ohms / 14 watts, and it's vaping quite nicely. :vapor: I started having issues with the Kick 2 in my converted VV Grand not making a consistent connection, and if this device continues on the way it has been, I'll be a happy camper. :)

I've been finding that I've been going through batteries too quickly so I picked up a Panasonic ncr18650pd 2900mah. So far it's working flawlessly and fits perfect.
I was reading a chart rating different Bats and it said that this one is fine down to .50 Oms.

I think with this mod I need the extra 400mah because I"m finding with my LG Yellows and the MXJO they aren't lasting more then 3 hours or so without lowering the voltage. In other words on a full battery with a .64 Ohm Atty I'm supposed to be pushing 5.05V [And I am at the beginning] but after two -three hours I'm pushing out 4.8V

We'll see if the heavier capacity of this battery makes a difference as a solution to the short battery life.

I'm convinced that it's a full 13ml or darned close.
I can say with certainty that it's smaller then 15ml and larger then 10ml
It holds mega liquid.

Only comes with 1 bottle and I'm not sure about replacements.
FatDaddy Vapes sells a BF Kit which comes with tubing. Whether I can convert my REO
and Bogger Box Bottles using it I'll need to ask Dennis.

Hopefully the bottle lasts a while or I'll be SOL

By the way, I'm not ready to endorse this APV. I need more time to test it out.

My impression so far is that it's inneficient where Battery life is concerned. I was contacted by a supplier
in my private email that says he has the same problem with Battery Life, but that others don't.

I also have a lot of trouble getting it out of Lock Mode. They may have built my atty incorrectly so that it's shorting.
Once I have my BF Igo W built solidly at my favorite vape shop. My results may be different.

On the other hand I'm really enjoying the quality of vape from the included RBA Built dual coil .64 Ohm and running att 5 Volts. [40 Watts]

This setup is more flavorful then my Reo with a Reomizer 2 built to .24 Ohm at around 50 Watts.

I hope it holds up because I really dig the vape quality. While it lasts, sigh...

Thanks for the video Tom. One other way to refill (as we do with Reos ) is to grasp the bottle cap and unscrew the bottle without removing the tube from the 510 nipple. This method alleviates the tubing from stretching around the 510 nipple.

You are welcome.
I'm just not coordinated enough to do it your way.
Also
The original Reo had a screw in tube. I made a real hash of my first Reo because I tried to pull it off.
Rob changed it to a pull out tube like this in the newer models.

anyone know where to get spare or replacement bottles?

i bought these bottles for less than $10 which fit very nicely-both in the mod and fits the cap that comes with the mod- though im not really sure what im going to do with 50 of them.

there might be better ones without the childproof cap that would be easier to modify to feed the tubing through, but i just cut off the outer part of the cap and put a hole through it that way.
