It would appear that the GG Grant is about power and the Nano for extended runtime.

For me, I would probably choose the Grant as I find that most e-cigs are like smoking light cigarettes. I prefer a more robust throat hit and belching out lots of vapor. This model runs around 6 volts and looks pretty impressive on the video clips.

The Nano runs around 3.7 to 4 volts, similar to a regular screw-in battery, but with a much longer runtime. If you are satisifed with the 510 experience, maybe you would be happy with the Nano.

To be fair, you might also consider looking at the Prodigy from Puresmoker. It has just been released. I am seriously looking at one of these as it is in the 'sweet spot' running at 5 volts. I find that 5 volts gives a very good throat hit and excellent vapor production while not ruining the flavor of e-liquid. Some high-voltage devices really wreck a good juice.

Actually, the GG Grant runs on both 3.7V and 6V

I haven't used a Prodigy. Many haven't as they are currently in the process of being shipped. Knowing Steve, I'm sure it will be a quality product.

However, I do know the GG doesn't use solder, wires or electronic parts which means it's IMMORTAL! :D

It truly is a wonderful device. Imo definitely without a shadow of a doubt stick with the 510 adapter! Lol Its the best combo, less top-offs and doesn't get nearly as hot than a 901 and puts out lots more than an 801 adapter. You can't go wrong.
Moonlight is right, i heard smokejuice.co.uk will be stocked on friday.
Grants really not that big at all, same size as my middle finger, lol I dont have large hands, shame to admit.
6Volts doesn't ruin the flavor at all, it enhances.
If you watch Cashmere's original video of the 1st Prodigy he praised the 6 volts effect all the way through.;)

All depends on the battery brand & model too.
The TR15270-CR2-800mah 3V batteries sold by SmokeJuice and provided with your GG Grant have a peak power of 7.2V (2 x 3.6 fully charged) but that goes down directly to 6V really rapidly then they slowly discharge till the cut-off voltage.
The lowest power they provide is 4V (2 x 2V cut-off charge).

You can have like 6V in the morning while taking the nicotine you need and have around 5V in the afternoon with the same batteries.

I couldn't find a discharge graphic for those batteries so I will use a multimeter and try to find out myself today while using the GG.

I was afraid too about the taste being burned or such before getting my GG but right now I couldn't be more happy and if I really want a smoother experience (and less hit) I can still insert a TR14500-900mah 3.7V battery.

*For a start: DSE901 atty with 2 x CR2 3V batteries using my multimeter.

-First set of 2x3V batteries:
Fully charged batteries: 7.2V indeed.
After one short drag: 6.8V (that's normal as I said, it drops quick fast after the "init" charge).
... to be continued. I will study the discharge of this set first today

-Second set of 2x3V batteries I did insert fully charged when waking up this morning:
After 3 hours of use this morning: 5.7V

But you can already see that when you say I smoke at 6V it's never a fixed number in fact.
I know it was obvious for some people here but for many others I bet no.

since the regular GG is out of stock i was thinking about getting the nano.

what are the differences?

is it even worth it?

id use the 510 adapter. if that helps anything

Hi kevinallen, welcome,

If you want to see what really GG is, go to the GG advantages thread. There you will see why you have to buy it and nothing else in the market:)

As for the prodigy that breakfast mention here, it has nothing to do with the GG. They are totally different products.

ps....... the "sweet" 5v is a stupidness. Its a trick to show that the prodigy is a little dirfferent that GG. 5 volts has not the same effect to thoat kick like 6 volts. :)

6v dont ruin the flavor, they give more taste to it. People who says that 6 volts have burn taste, are people who dont know how to use devises like this, or people from "other" forums.

Man, Fred Your Awesome!
Sometimes it's easier for a well rounded number lol

Yup thanks ;)
I just got a "wow it's delicious" feeling with a 18mg HoneydewMelon juice.
I took the multimeter: exactly 6V with the 901 atty.

So those rumours about 5V being the sweet spot... I guess it depends on a lot of factors.
Imeo found out a great combination imho.

Hi Iken,

Perhaps I'm having a senior blonde GG user moment.. if 6v "enhances the flavour", why do you find 510 adaptor with lower voltage etc the better way to go, or am I missing something here?

(I'm currently a Grant GG with 901 atty CR2 x 2 battery user)

Cheers..

Hey Vaughanie,
Always good to see you:)
You set off an alarm in my head and I quickly scavenged the house looking for my multi-meter to see if the adapter is dropping the voltage. Thankfully no, no its not. Same amount of voltage is applied. Fred's reading is accurate as I suspected he was.

Personally which is growing to factual by feedback, the Dura 510 atomizer just handles the power just beautifully, the vapor production is phenomenal, surprisingly the atom does not get anywhere near as hot as a 901, leading to much slower liquid consumption and better actual feeling "throat hit" while still giving the good blast of flavor. I know all this sounds commercial, cause we all read this stuff before, but it truly is a marvel and a must for great vaping. :)
