GG Noob. Penny vs. Ody ?'s

I just got my Penny a couple days ago. I think I am getting it down. I was just wondering if the Penny is warmer than the Ody (assuming same coil res). Also, I thought I read or maybe a video told me, that the Penny hits harder than Ody. Any truth to that?

Good question. The Penelope is smaller in diameter and it's my belief that it does get hotter. After trying both extensively, I prefer the Ody for taste and throat hit although Penelope beats any other rebuildable atomizer.

I use both daily, its really a subjective matter. There are many variables to consider. I use 0.132mm NiChrome for resistance wire in both my Penelope and Odysseus and they perform very close to each other.

Thats exactly right IMO. The penelope does hit harder and I have the right juice for each one

I have heard the same concerning the Ody, still love the Penny though, it's my all day vape that goes everywhere with me in my pocket. And I've noticed there are juices I love in the Penny that I don't like in anything else.

Ok, so what I am gathering is that the Ody is more flavorful while Penny hits a little harder. Since I am more of a flavor vaper vs TH. I should try and get an Ody? I mean, the max I vape is 10mg. Since I am broke and spent money on the Penny I shouldnt have, lol, does anyone think it would be a fair offer to put the penny on the classies for trade for an Ody?

Yes, that is a fair trade...good luck though. Since Ody will probably not be made again, it might be a tough trade.

This is all subjecting and personal preference but this is how/when I use them

I use my Ody's for sweeter juices like Bounty Hunter and i use my Penelope's for the yellow PG juices like Halo Torque56 or Tribecca.

I tend to use the Penelope more in the morning when I need a heavy dose of nicotine to get me going and as the day progresses, I switch over to lower nicotine, sweeter juices. At night, I drip Boba's on my Ody Dripper, now that's a blast

I completely understand. I am really just looking for insight. I am new to GG products. My penny is my first and I have only had it for a couple days now. I love it, but it does hit harder than any of my other atomizer/tanks (Vivi Novas, DCTs, and a ZAP) I have a lot of juice at my desired Nic level. I like the flavor that Penny puts out, but it hits harder. If I could still enjoy GG with slightly less TH, then why wouldnt I want to try out an Ody. If I am overestimating the difference between the two, then that is the info I am looking for. Plus, on a side not, I think that the Ody might look better on my second piece of GG greatness, the stealth that I have on pre-order.

Jojo has 7. And swears by them after using Penelope and Ody. That's HER preference though. I'm feeling that this iAtty preorder could be the last ever. It's far enough back to possibly not come back again. Advice to anyone who can get one before this preorder ends (Sunday I believe) get one. I doubt you'll regret it. Ask me how I know

A bit later than I said, but nonetheless, here's my take now that I've had the Ody for a few days.

Setup: I have both running dual cotton #1/0 square braid double wicks, both using the same R and NR wire. The penny came in at 1.8ohm, and the Ody at 1.7ohm. I tried to get them as close as possible for the comparison.

To me the penny of course has more TH, even bordering on harsh at times. Vapor is a bit cooler (maybe due to the longer mouthpiece?) and slightly less of it, and flavor is a bit muted compared to the Ody.

The Ody on the other hand, man I didn't expect it to be this dramatic of a difference, but it is. Flavor is astonishingly good, everything just pops in it. It's a much smoother, yet warmer vape than the penny, with less TH. It does however burn through juice at a crazy rate, or at least to me that is. Then again, maybe that's because I can't put it down.

Thank you for the comparison. I have had the penny now for a little over a week. I like it a lot. I am very excited to say that I got a very generous trade the other day from a very nice member here for a large ody bundle for my Zap. It should be here tomorrow along with 100 mls of Bobas bounty. So I will be able to test it out myself. Cant wait.
