A nice matt finish GG is totally fine with most people, I am sure - a completely knurled finish would not be fine though.

The first lot of GGTS with the lined finish were beautiful and I thought that you said the only reason you started making them shiny was because the machining process made some nasty marks on the second batch so that you had to shine them.

I am sure there's no worries on the extra cost for extra parts for the GGTS AVS to fit on current GGTS models.

To avoid confusion for customers, I will be selling the new GGTS and the new AVS as a combined unit.
The AVS for existing GGTS owners with the extra parts will be available separately and will be at the higher price.

I will also be selling the new GGTS without the AVS for those that want it, but I will not be selling the cheaper version of the AVS without the extra parts separately - it will only be as part of a combined GGTS/AVS unit.

The standard model GGTS will come as a completely silver coloured version, with a 510/901 lid and although you can still use an 801 atomiser with the device, you'll need to purchase a separate 801 lid part to use the adjustable draw feature with this particular atomiser.

Spare telescopes in brass and in aluminium will be available separately, as will 901/510 lids in brass and aluminium and 801 lids in brass a aluminium and spare front/bottom caps in aluminium only (for existing users who have a dual-tone device and want an all silver device) .

I hope this makes sense as I am only just getting to grips with all the new parts myself and working out how best to list them and describe them on the site - a lot of my customers don't have English as their first language so it's essential I make it as simple as possible for them so that they don't accidentally order the wrong parts.

Lisa,

Why would existing GG customers have to pay more for there AFS unit than a new customer, we have been buying from Imeo for a long time and for those customers that have stuck with him that want the newer AFS this does NOT make sense to me at all. Is there anyway you would reconsider this since we have been loyal in buying Imeo's products for a long time.!!

There are extra parts required for the AVS to work on current GGTS models, that's what he was saying in the second post in this thread.
I'm not responsible for the cost, just the method of selling.

Lisa, I think the way you are planning to list the new GG's makes sense. The only downside is I can feel a big order coming on. LoL Daz.
Thanks Daz - yes, if I sold them any other way, I know that some of my foreign customers would end up purchasing the cheaper AVS only to find it won't work on the old GGTS because they need the other parts.

Hi Lisa

So if I would want to buy GGTS&AVS it will be one unit. I love that idea.

But if I'd want also use it without AVS I'd need something extra to buy as well (the lid with the atty connector I pressume?) ?

Also, if I'd want to use 801 with AVS I'd need some adjustable thingy to buy?

Also, will there be a version of combined GGTS&AVS with brass end cap and brass telescope? I just don't feel I like it totally whole in silver. That is, the more dual-tone the better :)

Actually I'm fine with buying the things I just want to be sure if I put the order for what I need I'll know which things to tick ;)

Thanks

You would need to get a lid correct. They come in two sizes one for 901/510 and one for 810s. They are available in brass and silver. Only needed if you want to use the adjustable draw feature.

Also, if I'd want to use 801 with AVS I'd need some adjustable thingy to buy?
You wont be able to use the 801 inside the AVS tank. Possibly later that will be an option.

Also, will there be a version of combined GGTS&AVS with brass end cap and brass telescope? I just don't feel I like it totally whole in silver. That is, the more dual-tone the better :)
Sounds like your order will look like this:
1- GGTSwAVS
1- Brass 510/901
(Optional) end Cap so you can use the adjustable draw without the AVS and keep your dual tone look.
1- Brass 801 end cap (Optional) If you want to use the adjustable draw without the AVS.
1- Brass telescopic tube (Optional)

Actually I'm fine with buying the things I just want to be sure if I put the order for what I need I'll know which things to tick ;)

Hope this helps you out with your decisions, and anyone else a little confused.. hehehe..

Your very welcome....

Indeed, but you'd be surprised, some people miss things in pictures too. :D
Also, I don't have anything to photograph yet and the more photos I try to get when the products arrive, the greater the delay getting them into stock and on sale for you guys - it's always a trade-off....... Creating stock items, descriptions and photos takes a lot more time than you would think and I am always aware that people want me to get the things into stock as soon as possible.

Hehe, pictures might be more misleading then words unless you exactly know how it should look like :)

Words should be fine if positions will be separated for new GGTS and old GGTS. Also if for old GGTS all parts required included in one package and at the same page will be links for optional parts that will help a lot :)

Yeah, I'm hoping that would be the case.

And I'm just happy that a) my ggts'es work just as well as ever and b) I have the option of buying upgrade parts for the new features.

Perhaps it might be a good idea to list all the parts that will be available and detail the specifics of whether they come with the new unit or not...

I sort of created a list of the few things from the original unit...

GG Telescopic Storm - $172.95, AFS (Automatic Feeding System) - $107.00, GG AFS Steel Mouthpiece -$25.95, Magnetic Button Assembly for switch - $14.00, Fuse Protection - $27.00, USB 5 Volt Passthrough - $51.50, 801 lid for adjustable draw - $???

What other optional upgrades will there be and any idea on the pricing of those optional upgrades, specifically for the new unit (GGTS+AVS)?

Also, the original GGTS has some upgrades, a list of those upgrade parts for prior GGTS owners wanting to upgrade without buying a complete new unit would probably be handy for those folks as well.
