Ive had the GGTS now for a little over a week been using it at 6v with two tenergy li-ion 3v baterries, it worked well at 6v on a three month old 510 atty for a week then wouldnt work. Tried same atty at 3.7v worked like a charm just not at 6v (thought it was battery issue set them aside for awhile till i could decide what to do, individually though they would fire atty on small setting at 3v wtf??) Well today that atty blew through ohms at infinity, put new atty in and tried tenergy batts again and both sets work!!! Its even better than before amazing warmth, vapor, all day going through sets.

? Can this happen with old atty not firing at 6v, should i still be worried for the batts? was it just atty? a little noobish when it comes to high volt vaping, this is my first high volt device...just cant understand why that old atty would work at 3.7 and not 6v maybe cause it was dirty?

This may not be related but for me, the 3.0 tenergy protected batteris give me a lot of issues compared to the cheap, green 17335 3.0s from DX which are unprotected. I am using a 6v atty. The two tenergy batts are always cutting out on me so I rarely use them. Which they did work for me since they are safer. I do try to use them on planes for the safety issue.

You may have some bad ones. I use tenergy 750mAh RCR123A LifePO4 and never had an issue with them.

I have three or four sets of them (light blue ones) and same issue with all of them. I don't think they are pushing as hard as the cheapo green ones so I bought more of the green ones. Just wish there was another good option. When I use the slightly longer 3.7 silver protected ones I get a burnt taste with the 6v attys (not I6s).

I'm using the silver w/yellow ring around the bottom and they work great. Been using them for 4 months now with no issues. I vape on two devices and they last me all day.

Yeah, I 2nd what Rob said, The resistance was so low in that 3 month old atty that ya were trippin the protection. Its common with OLD attys.....specially the 510s dip REAL low with resistance.

Glad ya got back to warm, huge cloud vapor...LOL :p

I had a 901 today that was reading about 8 ohms and would not fire up with one set of batteries but would with the other set on hand.... it was the weirdest thing. CR2s unprotected so there was no issue with PCBs. It really depends on the atty but most of the time I see the resistance go up just before they die off. Usually why you see a drop in vapor performance and a cloggy draw as well because the coil is getting junked up...

So far the tenergy li-ion batts are performing okish. they do tend to cut of current sometimes when chain vaped, hate it but could live with it. may switch to lifepo4 3v batts just not sure of the proper charger.
Buy the silver and yellow tenergy batts in a set with the charger. I second what harpo and boomboom said, I love these batts and use them almost exclusively now.

I see what you all mean about these batteries. I have the two of the Tenergy RCR123A 3.0v 900 mAh. Just arrived today. First 4 hours or so was vaping heaven. Then they stopped firing all of the sudden. I threw them in the charger (they appeared to be charged when they came in), and one of them was indicated to be fully charged. Green light lit up after a few seconds while the other stayed red.

But then the second one only took about 6 or 7 minutes to indicate fully charged. Threw them both back in the GGTS. 6 or 8 puffs later they stopped firing again.

I guess the LiFePo4 is the way to go for now. Amything I can do in the meantime to keep these things functioning? Why would that behavior start after 4 or 5 hours?

You are using the Tenergy charger right 5th, they are meant to be charged in the Tenergy charger. I have both the 750mAh and the 900mAh and both are awesome Batts and run all my 6v mods with these and find them better than anything on the market and have been using them since they first came out months and month ago, if anyone finds or knows of a better 3v protected please let me know, and why does AW not make a 3v Batt off topic but I have only seen the AW in 3.7, is it I just havent seen the AW in 3v or do they just not make it??? please someone answer I like the AW brand best of all Batts but only see in 3.7
