interesting - becuase it seems that the '5 or 6 other contests already lined' up found it at least minimally enticing - don't get me wrong, I am all for finding a reasonable, consistent methodology to share the love and involve new members, old members, middle-aged members - but I don't necessarily believe that going from one perceived extreme to the other is the answer - and heck, I could be completely wrong - but, to Ninja's point, the thread was posted for input, and the broader a perspective we can provide, the more likely a more tenable approach is found... part of the key is actually participating in 'em, in my opinion (beyond the occasional 'yah - i never winz' post...) or the isolationist approach... this is a huge and diverse community - granted, there are a number of folks who have won in multiple big contest threads (i'm one of em - and half the goods are in other vapers hands being used as we speak) and there are a number for folks who will - invariably - kvetch about how it's just not fair (to them), regardless of the approach... but the discussion has at least offered some possible solutions, along with underscoring the need to make sure that whatever the approach is, it is consistent and communicated clearly (for those who actually bother to read the contest rules post)...And how will the contest threads look if the same people continue to win over and over, and people get bored with trying, and don't enter anymore...how will those threads look? probably not too enticing for the suppliers
Seems to me that everyone whose posted here wants it to change. Maybe I missed something.I haven't heard any complaints.....other then those who DON'T want things to change. I've only seen different ideas posted, and pros and cons of those ideas mentioned

No, no - we're sociable out thereHeck, I've been known to pop into the Women's Room on occasion. :0
Somebody has to stay on the main board to answer questions and welcome newcomers.
Maybe it's you people who aren't sociable??![]()

nope - not against change - and have stated it repeatedly - and to the best of my knowledge, haven't 'gone after' anyone, but can only speak for m'self... it seems a bit high handed and elitist, however, to classify one group as 'the people who would like to see change' and the 'other group' as the ones going 'after them' when all involved have been offering suggestions or insight - just becuase someone doesn't agree with my suggestions doesn't mean they are 'against change' - it simply means they have a different opinion - and that kind of circles back to that ol' thread title - inviting input from all... i can respect all of the suggestions offered without cosigning em or agreeing with em - and having participated actively in all of the big contest threads, i have also watched the evolution of the processexactly, so why all the complaints about people giving their ideas?
It's one thing if you like the way they are now, and say so. But that doesn't mean go after the people who would like to see change, which is what started happening the last page or so.
