Interesting take Major. The one point you may be missing, based on friends who do biz with China, (not e-cigs), is unless you have someone on the ground there overseeing production, you're at their mercy. If you check out how many ex-pats live there now and how many are there purely to oversee manufacturing, you get a scope of the issue.

Even on the Chinese side it's not necessarily shenanigans. It could be a die that should only be used for x number of times, but they use it y times and guess what, threads aren't so good. Or issues similar to that. Unless we're directly involved, we can only surmise. Again, if Cig-Easy & Nhaler joint-ventured the production of this item, it would explain why they are the only two suppliers and may remain so, but then I'm just surmising.

Good point Ceegary. As I said, my experience is very dated and it is nice to have boots on the ground from a manufacturing perspective. My primary dealing was with specific PCB for PC construction and ram for PC.

I was so small time I never even got to go to any of the countries I dealt with but it was a different era. That's why I tried so hard to emphasize it was all Friday night supposition on my part. :)

I've read about the Go-Go chargers going from red to yellow to green when nearing the end of a charging cycle, but at least one of my new ones is doing something a bit different. After charging for a couple of hours, the indicator on the charger turned green. Just when I reached for it, it turned red again. Then green. Lather, rinse, repeat. It'll stay one color anywhere from 30 seconds to a couple of minutes, then change again. Is this an issue? How do I know when it's charged?

I did check the charger, and there doesn't appear to be any excess plastic. I also tried it on my second charger - same thing.

Good morning all --just wanted to write a quick post to let you know that I just ordered a Go-Go! I watched Steeljan's video, and Michael's too, read a bunch of posts, and decided to give it a try. I will carefully inspect all hardware for stray hair :) and ignore the user's manual from the manufacturer.

I'm currently running an eGo/Riva hybrid, which is just fine. You know, "fine." Looking for something to take it up a notch to get that elusive thing called "consistency," and it looks like the Go-Go is a step in that direction!

I've bookmarked the user's manual that y'all created so I can find it quickly when my order is delivered, and I'll check in here often to get the latest and greatest tips from the pros :) Thanks much for all the info, and I'm really looking forward to trying my new Go-Go!

Maybe it is just "the newest shinny thing" syndrome but I just put the same juice in my eGo and GoGo and the GoGo is hands down better tasting and easier to pull. I think you will be pleased.

We've had a lot of people who went from ego/riva to gogo and most all have reported cutting their nic level because the gogo hits so much stronger than other PVs.

Out of the 8 different Gogo batteries I have personally charged, I have seen this behavior on 2 of them. One of them stopped alternating after I let it sit on the charger overnight. The other simply didn't act like this when I put it on the charger after running it to empty.

I have no idea what that behavior means, but it never happened again after the first time. I'd certainly contact your vendor so that the issue is on record in case you end up needing to return it.

yes, the holes are much smaller on my second set of Go-Go's--no problem with this as I like the draw a bit better this way.
I do not mind the lack of the on-off button as even with a full year of vaping , I still chain vape . ( 48 years of 2+ pkd means one really needs their security blanket ).
Am forever fiddling with the button and have turned myself off a lot-LOL !!
Not real happy with the bad threading though.
But the Go-Go just gives more flavor and lasts longer than my Egos , and the ego-T just about made me give up vaping.
So whatever little thing is amiss with the Go-Go, it is still my favorite "binky" !!!

A Noobs review

Ok, I just got my Gogo. I ordered it Thursday for Cigeasy and it showed up today. Given I am only 4 hours from them, but still it was nice that the delivery time was so fast. They were prompt about everything so they get a Kudos from me for that.

Now I am going to be honest about the unit because as much as I love it I do also have issues with it. This is not Cigeasys' fault but the manufacturer.

I un-boxed my unit with a smile. How could I not, this was after all my first major PV purchase. I checked both batteries and found they had a charge. So yay there. Checked to see if either unit had the "new" 3 click feature? Nope. Fail. Not a deal breaker by any stretch but still a little disappointing. Next was plugging in a battery to the charger while the other got used. Sadly to say I did have to file down the plastic. From what I have read here, I had been expecting this. No big deal right? Well that was until I saw how much I had to file down. I was thinking a little here and there. Not 1/8th a inch (ok it may have been less but from my prospective it was a huge amount). 15 minutes of filing later I was able to get a good connection. Probably would have gone faster with a new file but meh. Again, this was NOT a deal breaker for me. Annoying? Yes. Make me want to send it back? Nope. Make me want to kick little puppies? Nope. Make me delay my vaping? Yes.

Next came attaching the carto (Holy hells these things are HUGE!. I didn't realize what a size difference it was till I put it side by side with my 808). I started to screw it on and found the threading to be very tight in spots. A few on and off seemed to help but now I was a little leery. Again not a deal breaker but my faith in the manufacturers QC had dropped a bit. However, once I got it on and took my first hit... woah. The "airy" hit wasn't what I expected. Till you try one yourself, reading it's airy is hard to put into prospective. It's a lot like hitting a very loosely packed ultralight but not at the same time. Pulling air through a very large straw maybe? Either way it wasn't bad. Next came the flavor. I start with vanilla as it's my mile-marker for flavors. The flavor was pleasant. Not over whelming but there. I will need to clear the pre-fill juice and put in some of my other vanilla to judge, but so far so good! The TH was massive. I have been using 50/50 pg/vg juice because I like a smooth vape. The TH had me coughing like I did when I first started smoking analogs. I forgot how throaty PG was. Still it meet my expectations there so WIN on that count.

My previous kit was a kr808d-1 so I have a load of cartos for it. I wasn't going to let them go to waste so I bought the adapter, even after seeing some folks had issues with it. I can now say I am one of those people. The threading is just off enough that after about half a turn you can't get it on with your fingers. Now being the "creative and stubborn" person I am, I wasn't going to give up. Out came the needle nose pliers. With those in hand i was able to fully seat the adapter. As soon as I had done that, 808 vaping commenced without issue. A few on and offs will likely solve this problem as the threads wear enough to match up perfectly. Till then I will just keep the pliers in my bag with me. Again, not a deal break since I got it working, but the fact I had to fiddle a bit was a bit sad. I don't blame Cigeasy for this as I know they are working on the issue. I got it to work so they won't hear me complaining. (Although I suppose i did kind of just complain didn't I? Meh.)

So overall I like it. In fact I am very happy with the unit as a whole. It's a little quirky, but I work in IT. Quirky is my life. I think if the manufacturer can pull some better QC on these things they would be absolutely perfect. Would I recommend these units to a beginner? No probably not. It's a little to complicated with these minor issue for someone say like say my Grandmother to use out of box. Would I recommend them to any one else. Yes and without hesitation. All in all I am happily vaping away, a proud new member of the GoGo Nation.

That's just my .0314159265 cents.

like maybe a broken cigarette? I have found on my go-go's the new black powder coted cartomizers reduce the airy draw. But not enough for me so I put a layer of electrical tape around the bottom of the cartomizer.

I think that would be a close approximation. I finally realized I had to draw harder to get a good amount of vapor because it was so airy.

Hello fellow gogo'ers

My name is Mac and as you can see I'm new to post but have been lurking for about 2 months. I read the entire gogo thread. I have been using a gogo as my main PV for over 3 weeks and recently started also using an igo. My first ecig experience started with a gas station "logic ecig" and since then have not touched an analog. I had been smoking for over 21 years at a pack and a half. Since I started vaping and quit the analogs I feel better than ever.

In the search for my perfect PV I spent a boat load of $. I bought a V4L, Ego-t (hated it), REO Woodvil, REO Mini, Xhaler mini, GOGO and Igo. My favs by far are the GOGO, igo, and Woodvil. I now carry one gogo and a igo to work everyday. I love them both equally. I have not had ANY problems other than having to file down the batt charger for the gogo (thanks to you all for the tip).

I want to thank you all for all the information, tips, and how to's which have helped me a lot. You guys (and gals) are awesome.

I don't mind the "airy" draw ... it is actually much better than my Prosmoke. It (the Prosmoke) has a tighter draw, but less vapor (and TH), so the GoGo is a "win-win" compared to it.

The ease of screwing on a new carto has gotten a little better with use, although it still resists somewhat about half a turn before it is seated to the battery. Again, some finer-quality QC concerns there, but not nearly enough to make me dislike this thing. Also, the on-off capability would be nice, but again, not a deal-breaker.

Actions speak louder than words ... since I received this thing, I have (virtually) stopped analogs completely, so *for me* it was a great purchase! (I say "virtually" because there are times, at least for now, when an analog just seems absolutely perfect ... like after "intimacy", if ya know what I mean ... ;-) )

Happy GoGo user so far ...

That worked, thanks. I'll see tonight if the behavior happens again.

I mentioned in a previous post about my favourite juices, here goes. These are what I really like after trying over a hundred of them, no real order though higher on the list are preferred suppliers.

Backwoods Brew: Backo, Espresso, Honey Flue, Hunter's Blend, RY4 & Malty Toffee. The only one I tried and didn't like was Ejoker, but then I really hate menthol with 'bacco flavor.

Halo: Trying to decide between Tribecca & Torque 56

Vapor Station: VS4 & Texas, really want to try Tampa next.

Alien Visions: 555, have some more flavors steeping so this list could be added to soon.

Freedom Smoke USA: RY4 & Wyatt Earp, also like their Purecig. Wyatt is not for everyone, I think it's like it or hate it, I really like it.

Kick Bass Vapor: Camfire Trail & Bogart, haven't tried others from them yet, but have some sweet ones on the way, need some more of those in my box.

Vaperite: Like their Organic Tobacco, RY4 & APV

Want 2 Vape: Acid Blondie & Alcazar, though others are good too.

Joogler: Cappoccino & Choc-Mint

Nhale: RY4

Vape The Rockies: Missouri Bottoms

I never really want to be without at least some juice from the first 6 suppliers on my list and there are a few others that I like & will continue to vape, Vapors Etc has some good stuff. I've found some good spearmint & peppermint and straight-on flavors like that but if anyone knows or has a really good Black Licorice, hit me up. There are some others I haven't spent enough time with yet to form a firm opinion.

So what get's you going in your Go-go?
