Got the GoGo tank mod from Chopper yesterday and, after a small learning curve, got it to work. What a difference. Each vape tastes like I just topped it off. The only problem is that I get even more strange stares from the cars next to me with the expression 'what the *** is he doing in there?'.

Thanks Chopper for making a good thing even better.

NoMoCigars, can you say a little more about the learning curve? I'm expecting mine soon and want to make sure I set it up right.

My main problem was attributed to a bad carto (just one of those things). Once I got a good one on there it was fine. I also (after wasting some juice) figured out that it is more efficient to plug the hole at the battery end while filling the carto and then, after you seal the top, remove the plug and set the carto/tank on top of the juice bottle and let the excess drip for a half hour or so. I used one of the condom caps that came with the carto as a plug (after cutting it down so it would fit). Have fun.

Best e-cig story was an ECFer who was pulled over by a cop when he was vaping a big mod. He thought; "Oh what now?!". Cop sidled up to his asked; "Is that an E-cig you're smoking?". He wanted to know more about it, so they had a chat and he gave the cop his card to get in touch with him if he needed more help. He stated it's the first time he's been stopped by a cop who was the one that walked away with a piece of paper. (His description of the event was elaborate than mine).

NEW MOD. I've played with various ways to convert old cartos for dripping, today I came up with another one that I really love. Up front let me say it's not very easy to do. I took a carto that had burnt the filler and center stem and removed both. Washed it out and did a dry burn.

I then took a #15 stainless needle and cut off a small piece exactly .7 cm. Mounted that on a plastic toothpick for handling and making sure the bottom hole remains open. Mixed up some JB Kwik, and at the 2 minute mark when it started to get more sticky, I smeared some around the cut piece, leaving about .3cm at the top free. Inserted it into the breather hole until the bottom was flush with the end of the hole. Cleaned up JB Kwik that had spilled over, so the connection was clean. Held a sharp object against the rim of the cut piece to hold in place while I extracted the toothpick.

What I land up with is a small tube inside the breather hole that extends above the inner floor surface and now sits just below the coil. That way the juice pools on the bottom and doesn't leak. Two other plusses; because it's a smaller hole for airflow the drag is tighter, it also sucks the air in just below the coil, creating better flavor.

You would need a good eye, steady hand, thin dremel cut-off wheel, JB Kwik, #15 needle and plastic toothpick to do this.

Here are the components, small piece of needle cut to .07 cm, JB Weld Kwik, (my tubes are tattered as you see), plastic toothpick, (wood ones can break off in it), Go-carto with filler & tube removed, then dry-burnt and the dremel thin cutting wheel. This one broke so I thought it would be good to position for the pic but in use, obviously a whole wheel.

I tried to take a pic showing the piece of tube on the toothpick with the JB on it except for the top but it didn't come out. Here it is in the bottom already with the clean-up done, just needs to set and then it's ready for vaping.

If anyone has questions, just ask.

Hello! I have read through about half of this thread and it prompted me to post on the newbie board. I'm going to cross post here. I hope that's okay, but if it's not a moderator can hopefully remove my post. Here's what I posted:

If anyone remembers me, I posted a few days ago about being persuaded by my neighbor to buy an e-cig from the drugstore. I did that, and liked it. It's not bad. I ordered some extra batteries that fit, and some cartos that fit and are much cheaper than the brand specific ones at the drug store.

Let's see... I got the e-cig 4 days ago and had two real cigarettes the first day, 1 the second day, and 0 the third day (even going to a party where half the people were chain smoking, lol).

I've been reading on a couple of monster Go-go threads on the site, and it sounds just about perfect to me. I have two small kids, so I don't want to have to load up atomizers and fiddle with stuff, and have bottles of juice always laying around. I like the way the cartos work on the kr808, so I think I'd like them on the Go-go as well. The longevity of the go-carts sounds awesome (being able to refill many times before they die).

One thing that concerns me is that since I'm just starting, I'm still testing flavors out, and I don't want to test 3 ml of flavor on a single carto if I'm not going to like it. But I guess I'd still have my kr808 to test flavors on.

Anyone have any advice? Does a Go-go sound like a good choice for me? And pros and cons you can tell me about? Companies to order from, sales to wait for, etc?

TIA!

Then, in a follow up post, I also mentioned that the Echo looked like a similar VP. Any comments on Echo vs. Go-go?
