Well hi guys. Didn't know this thread was happening, I've been all over ECF on other stuff while happily puffing my Go-go but not posting or reading about it, then I stumbled on this thread today. I did buy another set (thanks Billb) so now I'm running three Go-gos at a time with a different juice in each and batteries charged in reserve. When I feel like switching over, I close up the ends, and put it in a sealed small plastic baggie rather than clean it. When the juice calls me again, I refill and go-go. I do label them with colored stickers (hearts!) I got at the dollar store.
Love to drip on it as well, though I have burnt out a couple of old cartos doing a LOT of that but I felt it was my duty to thoroughly test about 100 juice samples that I got. I have found some real favorites, maybe more on that later if anyone's interested because taste is so individual.
When I do clean out a carto, I run it under hot tap water till I can't taste any flavor out the connector end, then rinse more with RO water. I taryn-spin them with the water expelling out the connector, then let them dry. Here in Phoenix, when it's warm that's just a few hours outside, not to keen on baking them in the oven. I have restuffed a few, didn't know about the red cocktail straw so I made mine by wrapping tape around a plastic Q-tip stick to get the right size, they work fine. I'm usually able to re-use the original filler, don't think blue foam would work as well and think it's still advisable to have the felt piece wrapped around the tube to help wick down to the attie and also protect the tube from burning. I also discovered about tamping down the filler if the taste or draw goes off, easy to do.
Here's a little trick I discovered. When I'm dripping, (and yes I love to tail-pipe) I sometimes want to rinse the flavor out to switch over. Run some water through it, blow it out well, then I set it, connector side down, on top of a 60W incandescent bulb that happens to reside in my upright lamp on my desk. Ten minutes later I'm good to go.
I've experimented with filling by syringe etc, but have settled on dripping in by drops at an an angle, like pouring a beer. I can now tell when the juice is pooling, and usually will get a drop out the other end within seconds. I do put 40 drops then leave it for a minutes, then another repeat with 40 more before the finale to allow the juice to saturate.
Backing up, I was thinking about getting another PV, one of the mods, but then I said to myself. "Self, you're so blinking happy with the Go-go, why don't you just buy another set, that way if a bat dies or whatever you're still good to go-go". Plus batteries don't last forever anyway, and this way you can be firing multiple juices all the time". That's why I bought the 2nd set.
I've still been toying with the idea of building a mod, variable voltage with voltage diplay and juice-feed system. I have the skills and tools to do that kind of thing, because my other hobby is restoring pinball machines. Now I'm thinking, the only thing I might really be interested in trying is 5v vaping so I'll probably just build a 5v box mod, can do it pretty cheaply.
Go-go was my first PV so I started vaping at 24mg and am still basically doing that. I do have some lower nic juices to switch to if I've been vaping too heavily, or want to vape low or 0 nic before going to sleep.
I'm glad I wasn't around for reviewing the reviewer, I would have a hard time being diplomatic about it. A hair! Gimme a break. Misrepresentation of the product's components due to sheer ignorance while passing ultimate judgement, go away! Ok, stop. Glad I didn't have to see that when I first started researching the Go-go.
I'm happy to see the Go-go nation thriving and surviving. For anyone who wants a PV that's no fuss, long bat and carto life, great taste and vapor, you found it. Short of the Darwin at 2 1/2 bills that adjusts to the atties resistance, this is the most consistent vaping experience I've heard of. Day in, day out, hit after hit after hit, this delivers. So all I really care about now, when I finally run out of cartos or bats, they're still available. Now, onto the next juice.
