As you all may know, goblin mini by youde is extremely picky in good wick technique.

Two days ago I did my first rebuilt, the coil were 99% perfect (2.5mm ID, 2x 1ohm coil)

My failure came from using too much wick, iirc i had to use a little force to pull the wick through the coil.

Today, when I wanted to vape at my office staircase, took out my ipvd2 from my bag to see empty tank and I immediately knew it was shtf. Lucky I wrapped my tank with tissue paper and rubber band to protect my glass tank, my bag didn't get the leak. Now I'm cleaning my stuff up and I'm wick less at work.

Tl;dr - tank leak due to lousy wicking technique. Bo vape for the day

Exactly, when it does work it's awesome. But it takes work to get good quality vape. It's like driving a well tuned subaru or something.
Hahaha! Yup. Now im starting to grasp how much wick i should use for it but as im out of cotton currently, have to make do with my not so perfect wicking la

Watson cotton plus boiling and drying = good plus cheap plus easy to find cotton haha!

Lucky I got cover my tank and my ipvd2 got silicon sleeve so the liquid never go to the batt compartment. Got a little liquid went under the button but I was able to stick tissue under the button to dry it out.

Lesson learnt. Always condom your tank if you think it will leak and Ipvd2 silicon sleeve is a lifesaver

I got tired of screwing around with them......:)

Way to many tanks available now, I'd rather spend quality time doing other things, like vaping.

Russian 91 is expensive. And for some reason, solving all this problem is therapeutic. Especially when I know I contributed more to the vape then the tank haha.

To each and his own I guess? I like to be crafting my own stuff.

Well that could be a good conversation starter.

"why does your bag smell like blackcurrant? "

" because my juice leaked"

"your juice? "

" yes, my tasty juice" :pervy:

Yep i saw that a vid about that kind of wicking too. Gonna try it soon! Oh btw i bought daiso cotton and tried it. Felt normal but after i saw some threads about bleached cotton and stuff i quickly changed to my organic cotton cus i kiasu kiasi hahaha

Bleached cotton can be used! Just remember to boil it with distilled water. After that safe already. This way it's much cheaper than all the organic cotton. I'm planning to buy a big pack myself haha!

What is the width of cotton you cut out for that particular strip? Do you know I only cut out 2mm width of cotton each time? Yes that thin. And yes like what @bangkokshocks says you need to cut it nicely along the juice well.

Yup I did cut it along the juice well, my cotton was on top of the juice well (saw on YouTube that juice well should not be blocked with cotton)

I think I cut too thick already. iirc, I agar agar 2cm width! Thanks epic, I'll make sure I cut thinner and update you

How thin depends on how huge the inner diameter of your coil is. My coil has an inner diameter of 2mm, hence I cut out 2mm. When I roll it up it fits just nicely in the coil, especially after juicing the cotton up, it further expands and fits perfectly within the coil. The rest is just about trimming it nicely so it fits perfectly along the juice well but not too long. My cotton usually ends just a small little gap away from the bottom of the juice wells.

So basically how much cotton i use i just estimate if can pull left and right when its in the coil then i align my scissors along the outer threads and cut it, then put on the bottom chimney, use a small screw driver and gently push the cotton down to the juice channels. Not sure if im doing it right or wrong but after trying this method instead of just agah agah last time , it significantly reduced the amount of spitting and leaking. But the thing is that the flavour is not so strong.
