I have a single clapton in mine right now. I really like the flavor from the 316 SS though. This is my first Goblin I have only wicked it for 2 different coils and I guess I got lucky and got it right on the first try. I cut my cotton off at the chimney then stuffed it down to the deck with a small screwdriver. I watched Grimm's video before I built it and so far that has worked for me.

Boy you're fast to pick up the mini volt! May I ask from where? Just curious I saw you on the Serpent thread do you have one? & if you do how does it compare to the Goblin Mini V2? I love my Serpent & like you I'm not so crazy about the Griffin like everyone else is. So if you have & love the Serpent & I see you enjoying the Goblin Mini V2 chances are I will too. Thanks!

I got a Volt off ebay for $29. I prefer my Goblin over the Serpent. I like to be able to do both single and dual coils. I think the flavor is better on the Goblin as well plus it comes apart and the Serpent don't. If you can deal with 3ml of juice capacity and a smaller deck the Goblin is worth it.

Looks like I'm not the only one who had dreamed of pairing a black Goblin Mini with a Mini Volt. I'm still all for it, but the battery life on the Volt does cause me some concern. Good pairing, for short periods.

I was thinking the same thing, great little setup for out & about but was concerned with battery life. Can anyone with this setup share their thoughts on their build & battery life? :nun:

I was keen on a flawless 2650; however, it's still a relatively new product so availability and prices aren't attractive to me. It will certainly offer the best battery life in terms of a small form factor mod.

As an owner of a 26650 mod, don't expect better battery life unless you run it at low wattages. I get about the same battery life out of a 3000mAh LG HG2 or Samsung 30Q as I do out of either set of my 4000-4500mAh 26650s (MXJO, Basen) when I vape north of 30 watts, because the internal resistance of a 26650 is higher than a good 18650, and that just hammers capacity at higher power.

As for the Flawless, it's 2016 for crying out loud, why no SS TC, why no TCR, why no firmware upgrades, and why is the battery door so dangerously sharp? Probably the worst choice of the three "mainstream" 26650 mods on the market right now (Sigelei Spark comes with a battery and a tank at the same price, Vape Forward Stout has SS, TCR, presets, and a sleeve to run 18650 batteries at the same price). I understand being a fan of a brand, I really do, but their 26650 device is...flawed.

Hey folks im really sorrybi haven't been any help in figuring out your flavor problem. I never had the original goblin mini so I dont really know all the ins and outs of this little guy yet. My first build was a simple 24guage 316l dual coil reading .4 which was a little higher then I wanted but it was producing great flavor so I left it. Not to mention it was a tough first build for me as I tried a 2,5 mm Clapton build at first and it was just barely too big 8( anyways I feel like I'm going to rebuild tomorrow with a smaller Clapton build and i will try and take pics for you Guys having issues..... My biggest problem with the mini is how restricted the air flow is. I don't mind a restricted lung hit but mine is borderline mouth to lung ....I wish I knew an easy way to open her up a bit!!!!

Don't have a V2 but used V1 till tge threads on two piece chimney stripped.

The airflow looks similar between the two.

May be you neen to raise the coil or coils off the deck a bit.

Well, that's a BIG shame [emoji20]

Edit: For small factor mod, I'm waiting on an eVic Mini VTC, something that is recommended by many, but IMO boring in terms of looks.

Try an eVic vtc mini and you will probably be singing another tune.

The display, the comfort to hold, the small size, the thought went into it. The strong reverse polarity magnets, the battery door that goes on stays on with out wiggling, etc.

If you like the idea of the VTC Mini but find the basic rectangle shape a bit boring, there's always the Wismec Presa TC75 that uses the same board and large vertical display, and adds a full-length firing bar.

And speaking of Wismec, they're making another 26650 mod for Beyond Vape that uses the same internals as the VF Stout (and the same 18650 adapter), the Beyond Vape Centurion. Nice thing about the Centurion over the Stout is that it's wide enough to handle 25mm atomizers while still (probably) feeling as narrow in the hand as the Stout, and is a bit more stylish.

I have both and like both( serpent and gm v2) they kind of fill completely different roles for me as a vaper except both having great flavor. The serpent is a single coil in my opinion flavor Atty(people talk about it being wide open airflow wise and i disagree the serpent has decent airflow but its still restricted IMO) i use my serpent a lot of the time around my house with a juice i have been saving or something special i really want to taste. I can fill it and forget about du to the decent tank size and single coil dont get me wrong with a nice size clapton i can produce some pretty decent vapor and it will guzzle not sip the juice but i generally use it for something special anyways the gm mini is a nice pocketable stealthy little atty. Its got amazing flavor again these are just my opinions but has a pretty restricted airflow and middle of the road vapor production. Not to mention the gm minis tank only holds 3ml of juice. Its perfect for me on the go or when I want to use a single 18650 device. I have one on my evic mini at 35watts with dual coils 316l .4 and an lg hg2 it will last almost all day. At first I struggled with the deck size I guess the deck in the v2 is bigger then the v1 but I don't know how as its freaking microscopic !! Also wicking can be a Bit of a ..... but once I figured it out I'm really enjoying it and use it both out and about and at home

I've been running the goblin mini on a mini volt for a couple of weeks now. I'm using double coils, but built it to .9 (the mini volt recommends that you don't build below .8 but it will take down to a .2 (I think)).

With the .9 coils at about 23 watts, I am getting 5-6 hours out of it. It is great for running errands, going out to dinner, that type of thing. You can use the mini volt as a passthrough, but I haven't yet.

The deck in the V2 is every so slightly bigger than in the V1. I don't think it's something to write home about.

Whilst there are some changes on the V2, IMO they are only improvements which the manufacturer's should have implemented a long time ago.

Edit: Don't take me wrong, I still like this little bugger :D
