Does the atty work on a standard battery? Do you have any others you can try. If your getting 6v on the Chuck then it's for sure an atty problem.

All the attys work on normal 510 batteries, I've also raised the posts (and when I take off the atty, the post went down, which means the post in the chuck pushed it down, confirming there was contact)

looks like hat post is up high enough. There is another possibility that you are triping the PCB on the batteries. The 510 at 6V pulls a lot of amps. If you still have that meter, check the ohms of the atty. If it's less than about 2.5, you are probably triping the batts.

Edit: Your next option is to run to the store and pick up a 2-pack of cr123 3V batts. they are non-rechargable but at least you can vape it

Edit2: BTW you can get them at CVS, wallyworld, etc

put your meter on ohms then put one lead on the threads and the other on the center pin.

Do that only put it on DC volts and (with batt in) put one on the center pin and one on the threads (don't let 'em touch each other). then press the button and see if you get volts.

Sorry, I didn't catch that you had him checking the atty there harpo.
