Hello folks, After you guys answered so many of my questions I thought I'd give you an update on my first vapeing experience. My stuff came from Bloog yesterday afternoon and I got my first taste of vapeing. I think it's too soon to have a really solid opinion, but I'll relay my first impressions. I got three flavors of 24mg carts, two batteries, and charger. I've only tried the menthol so far.

1. I was amazed at how much it smokes like a real cigarette. The the vapor really feels and looks just like smoke to me. even the temperature of the vapor felt just like smoke. If I were blindfolded I probably could not tell the difference and I've been smoking for 40 years.

2. The taste is very good, better than the newports I have been smoking.

3. I was suprised that that it had a good hit of nicotene, enough that I could really feel it. In fact enough that I did not have to keep puffing on it constantly to stay satisfied. A 3 or 4 of hits and I could feel that anymore would be too much.

4. The only things that were not like a real cig are the weight is quite a bit more and they are not soft like a real cig. Both of these things are minor differences, but you notice them.

5. The other thing that suprised me was how much of my smoking habit is physiological. As I said the ecig experience feels as real as can be too me and the nicotine hit is fine but I still feel the urge to put my coat on and go outside for an analog. My wife won't let me smoke inside, but she said the the ecig didn't bother her inside the house at all in fact she wanted to try it. I made about 6 of those trips out side since yesterday about 4:30pm. Normally it would have been about 20 trips. I find it very pleasant to have a smoke in the house while reading or watching TV. It feels weird to be smoking in the house though. On one of those trips outside I tried something one of the forum members suggested. I lit a real cigarette in one hand and held the ecig in the other and I alternated puffs to compare them. The only difference I could feel was that the ecig tasted better, cleaner, I couldn't believe it really.

As I said before I know it's too soon to have a solid opinion, and I still feel those analogs calling me, but that's it so far. Thanks again for all your help folks.

It is so good to see so many people quitting the analog and going to vapor. I received my e cig on the 10th of this month. I was a pack a day smoker for 30 years and since I started my joye 510 mega manual, I have maybe smoked 5 analog cigs. I find that each day I smoke less and less of analog and don't really feel the desire for the analog to much. Good Luck!!

Grats!! You can also get prefilled and blank soft-cap cartos at Vapor4Life.com and blanks like the Premium KR808D-1 cartomizers (which are soft-caps) at LiteCigUSA.net and elsewhere. Just don't buy LR (low resistance) cartos - they are meant for fat battery models with beefier electronics.

Did you buy eliquid for refilling your cartomizers?

And you can spin that menthol out of the carto - search Youtube for Reverse Taryn Spin. I do not use the carto condom filling method shown in the video but I did use the spin to get the juice out of a carto once. It won't get the flavor out totally but should at least make it usable for another compatible juice.

Boy, that's great news! If I'm as successful as you I'll be one happy clam in the sand. :)

I wouldn't say I'm successful yet I'm just getting started. still having a few analogs although I don't know why. The ecig is just like smoking, quite satisfying. I want to stop analogs all together so I can have one of those fancy banners. The psychology of a 40 year habit is a more powerful than you would think, but I would say I'm down from 30 or so analogs a day to maybe 6 or 8 and this is only my second day. Like I've seen many other people here say "I stand there with the analog in my hand and I say why am I doing this?"

Keep posting, man! Everyone here loves to hear sucess stories, and we're all behind you 100%.

I'm a newbie at this stuff too, and I was like you... a part time vaper and part time smoker. It's been 7 days since my last analog. I know that's not a long time but for me, it's a damn miracle. I refuse to buy another pack of Marlboros. You just have to let go of it... I know, it's like saying goodbye to your best friend. A tried & true friend that's been there for you every step of the way, no questions asked... its hard.

But as they say, as one door closes, another one opens. Welcome to your new journey. You'll step through that door when you're ready.

Grats Denney! I started with V4L too, and they're a great distributor. Always comming up with new flavors and looking for new tech. I've been a little disappointed with their carts, got a box of dried up pink lemonade today. If you stick with the common flavors, though, or use juices, you'll be fine. Wowboy, grape, anything menthol, 555 are all the usual suspects.

I wouldn't say it's like saying goodbye to your best fried. More like throwing your best friend in the trash cause you just bought a cool ... robot with lazer beams and rocket fists.

Fantastic start.... dont beat yourself up ( that is what everyone told me ) you are doing great.

Newport...

I was a menthol smoker myself... I am vaping Robacco menthol form Blue Mist Vaping ( very good juice.. my favorit ) but I also like thier "Smooth" that is a lot the same but has a cholocate componant to it, something like Newports if I recall.

BlueMist Vaping Supplies

But there is a lot of Juice out there and as many opinions as there are people, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

I am using 24 mg of Nic, but I knew I was a very addicted smoker, it is working for me very very well.

For the first week and a couple of days.. yeah I had an occasional cigarette, but after a while I preferred the vape. Just today I am starting to lower the level of nic ( by mixing lower level juice with higher level juice )

Now... I don’t even like the cigarettes, and strongly prefer the vape.

Hang in there...
