I just got some VORTEX 808 Bottom Coil Clearomizers in the mail today. I thought the best way to test them would be with some juices that have always been "too light" in flavor. The first I tried was KBV Rice Krispity treats because I had ordered it with extra flavor and was still frustrated. Oh my -- what a difference! The extra flavor is now too strong and i have to dig out the bottle of regular strength. I've never wanted to be bothered with dripping, etc. and stayed with the cartos which I know mute the flavor. I think I'm now officially in heaven!

By the way, the only negative so far has been the mouth piece, it's too loose. But drip tips take care of that problem. Now I have 5 new boxes of cool carts that just came today that I don't think I'll be using!

Good to hear! BTW, what hardware are you using with these?

V4L manuals, mostly the standard or Xl. I did get one so far that leaked. The middle tube wasn't in all the way, when I pushed it in and straightened it the leaking stopped.

But I thought of you when using them MsOceanCity because of your postings about not being able to taste the flavors of some juices. I've had some like that and they are the first I put in these and what a difference (good) it makes!

Well these should be horizontal coil also.... dang its getting hard to keep these straight when we have vertical or horiz, top or bottom...clear or filler, and all of the above can be found in a mix n match...hope horiz will take over and leave vertical in the dust. And these too may spread to the rest of the world...

What about the TH?

Been a longggggggggggg time since I broke out my old V4L Batts but did early today and have been running some Vortex myself that Chris from Gotvapes was nice enough to send me to test out, hey if these things aren't the best little dam carto's I don't know which ones are, they put out some great vapor and make the little ecigs worth using again for sure. Every once in a while I like using the little ecigs but was never satisfied with them no matter which cartos I used on them, but these Vortex make it really fun using the small V4L type Batts once again !!!

One small drag as long as you would take from a regular old cigarette put out as much vapor as a real cigarette would too and more than a regular or LR Atty too.!

Ok...this is like my third review but an update anyway,
I got mine 3 days ago and as stated in previous reviews, it was love at first vape.
This morning I noticed it was harder to get a drag,,,,hard pull,,,and the vapor wasn't as good as I remembered, I'm guessing 5 refills in the Vortex,
Decided to try to clean it,,,,,hot water forced through the carto,,,,then blow out from both sides to clear as much water as possible,,,,then impatiently dry burn it for a couple of short burns, Inhaled the last burn and drag or pull is as I remembered it,,,,very, very light vapor from the water only in the coils,
Dried for only a couple of hours because I was curious as to how it would be after a light cleaning,
Filled will only 1 ml of juice (half full) and tried it,,,,first drag, very light,,,no flavor,,,,next drag a little vapor and a touch of warmth,,,,third drag,,,,warm,,,a bit of flavor,,,medium vapor,,,
Next puff,,,back to an original fresh Vortex,
These things really are amazing and right there with dripping but without the inconvience and mess,
I sill worry about the leaking,,,don't know if it is me or the Vortex but will keep on it to figure out,
Also cannot use the mouthpiece they come with at all, too soft and insecure in my mouth and I've lost two of them either in the toilet or stuck in my jeans, I automatically insert a drip tip now after I refill.

I should get mine today.... hopefully.

Are these ok to use with a passthru?

Mine have been working the best with a pass through. I have the LeCig 808 (Edit)"Auto" pass-through. My Ego Pass-through doesn't seem to put out enough oomph to power them properly.

I wouldn't think this is a true 5v PT is it ? I have put my Vortex on my Provari and tested them at all different voltages, seems to me less is more with these things when it comes to flavor, they are performing super on the Riva 901 750mAh Batts for me.

I have been wondering the same thing about my 808 pass through. It hasn't been that much hotter than a fully charged battery. I don't have a load to test the working voltage with and because it's an auto batt I can't just stick the probes on to see what the unloaded voltage is. Also I have been running it off of my laptop so it probably isn't getting the full amperage it could. I know the ego pass through is only running at it's 3.2V because it's a battery pass through.

I was concerned about running my LeCig Auto PT off of the laptop and figured I wasn't getting all the amperage I could out of it. I didn't have a 2A USB wall outlet but I did have a 12V cig lighter one. So off to the junk box and back with a 12V 1.5A router power supply and replacement cig lighter socket. A little bit of solder and heat shrink and now my vortex is putting out so much vapor the neighbors may call the fire department.

OK, got mine today and filled half full with BWB Peach. Took a couple of drags and the next one tasted slightly burned. Decided to put it down for a while thinking it might have to soak in some. 5 hours later I try again and I'm still getting this slightly burned aroma. What am I doing wrong? I've tried it on two different 808 batteries so that's not the problem.

There was no instructions so i was under the assumption that you just fill and vape. Can anyone help? I really don't want to try another and possibly ruin 2 of these things.
