Has anyone tried this brand? I'm interested in getting clear cartomizers (I'd like to know how much is in there and how full it is). I've found I like the RoyalSmoker CE2 cartomizers in the 2.4-2.6 ohm range, and this is the closest I could find to that, and the only place that sells clear cartos.

Has anyone tried this vendor?

Volcano has been selling 510 threaded clear cartomizers that run between 2.6-2.8 ohms. They've had them since around mid-December. I have two packs on the way, and the reviews I've read state they perform better than the previous revision (CE2R4). Most people had wicking issues with the CE2R4, and many of us had to resort to doing a PTB mod to improve the wicking. These new clear CE2R5s are supposed to wick better, but I won't know that until I receive them. I've heard that the wick as well (if not better) than PTB modded CE2R4s. Some have tried to PTB mod the CE2R5s, but they say that it doesn't make much of a difference. Plus, the clear plastic (I'm actually not sure what material it's made of) portion is supposedly very thin and can be easily cracked so you have to be careful if you do decide to mod them.

I just received two packs of the Clear 808 CE2's from GotVapes. 1 of the regular and 1 of the XL's.

My first impression was not good as I got a burnt taste, but I read some tips on another thread and did some tweaking and now I am pretty pleased with the results. These are giving off great plumes of vapor!

I got the 3.0 ohm and am vaping them on a Vapor King 3.7v and a PigCig 3.7v

What works best with these for me:

On the XL's - remove the middle ring and leave it out. Pull the inner ring(closest to the fluid) up just a tad to relieve pressure on the wick.

Put 1 drop of juice directly on the coil to prime it when it is new - just one drop in center hole.

Let it sit for at least 30 minutes so the wick will saturate properly.

I also like to have 2 setups to alternate these to allow re-saturation of the wick before another vape.

Hope this helps!

Keep an eye on my US supplier's list. I added an update for the mods that hasn't been added yet, so read the last few posts too.

I didn't want the colors, just clear, so I used the link in your post to order from Volcano. Thanks!

I also read the review of the GotVapes site, and I expect I'll be ordering from them in the future, they just showed out for this particular item.

Gatvapes is gettting the Ω rating you want in shortly. I have some of both. Gotvapes does have them in translucent colors (I use to tell what Ω rating they are). I have had good results. Some wicking issues today at work, I started turning them upside down and actually slinging it like I used to with cartridges and atomizers, but reverse. That was finally resolved by trimming the gasket where the wick enters the coil. If not tipping, I will just leave gasket out, flip it, or put the 2nd one in by itself.

Ok I cant help myself, have to say it... This is getting silly.... Rev 4, they said was now perfect, no modding needed. All kinks ironed out... No more rev's comming..... hmm no ok we'll do a rev5, and still...you are all tweaking and modding allready.... I'll try one at rev 10..
Don't get me wrong, its great cartos are going through so much innovation, but dont think its right to do so at custermers expence.. Think they should select a group of those who have tried most of them, send them some for free, and get their feedback. Go back, make changes, send new out. Instead of cashing all that money, each time they do a new rev.

I hear you, Michelle. I suggested the same thing a long time ago... Ain't gonna happen... However, improvements are being made all the time, and that's what matters, ultimately. Badokolo, BR, Banjoman, Turbo, Quick and those other sciency guys from the CE R4 thread are having a blast being a part of the process. And who knows, maybe we'll get our dream carto, eventually.

Agreed and agreed again.

I don't agree. They work as released. They just work better tweaked. Same with atomizers, batteries, and cartridges. People are always trying to make them better. The only reason we have clears is because the manufacturer is quick to take feedback. I really like the regular size clearomizers on my eGo, as it is hidden by the cone. To bad they just don't make one cone size that has a site glass... wait a sec, I think I can do that.

How do you tweak a battery??

Got my Clear E2R5 XL Cartomizers from Volcano on Saturday. My weekend, (Mon, Tue, & Wed), I had vaped and refilled one of them 6 times. Have had no problems whatsoever with the R5. Prior, I had been using Steel E2 R4 XL's. I like the R5's much better and have had no wicking problems, or problems of any kind with them. Leave it to the Chinese to come up with Clearomizers. What the hell was wrong with calling them what they are? Clear Cartomizers. Then dealers go off on a tangent and call them something else. Well, whatever you call them I like them better than what I had before. I used them on ProVari and Riva. JMHO

Cheers,

I am just inferring that instead of using the small cigarette size 180mah batteries, there are now mods that are able to use upto 2900mah batteries. plus there is HV, VV and such. Otherwise we all would still be using 150mah stick batteries.
Dont think anyones against making stuff better...

Just got mine from Gotvapes today. I filled 7 with my favorite flavors. I do not own a syringe with a needle yet, so I carefully took the seals out. You have to be careful taking the bottom seal out, by gingerly lifting the inner edge in a circular motion until it works loose. 2 out of 7 were really seated tight on there, and I actually destroyed the first one. I just grabbed an extra from my old ce2 stash and it went on fine.

After filling straight from my bottles while angling the carto, and dripping juice down there I replaced the cap, but kept it slightly higher than it was before. once I pushed the flat ring, and the rubber mouth piece back in, It wicked well, with zero burnt taste.

My opinion is that the factory is putting those seals in a little tighter than necessary, so much so that it really is restricting wicking action. I actually accidentally got one back to factory tight, and noticed it when I vaped, with a burning or plasticy taste, but as soon as I lifted it slightly the taste went away. It is an important balance between a hole big enough to let the wick do its thing, and the hole smalll enough as to not allow juice to leak.

The filled fluxomizers are all laying on their side and have been that way for a couple of hours and so far, no leaking.

I have been using 2 egos with the 2.6 to 2.8 ohms and they hit nice. Most of these juices are 80%pg . I do not find the vape warm at all and could handle them a little warmer. Too bad I have 40 more of these coming in a coop. Good news is I like them, and I think my wife will be able to quit analogs with these because she is too impatient to tinker with ecigs. Too bad she doesnt like one of the 100 or so flavors I have currently. I have a sweet tooth and she hates it.

I am finding most of my flavors are quite accurate, and the ones that had throat hit in an atty had a similar throat hit in these. And my higher vg ones had very good vapor, and similar flavor to a regular 510 atty.

I found that they vaped just fine after filling and priming the coil a little, but at first I was a little dissappointed in the flavor, but 30 minutes later, I had the same amount of vapor but nearly double the flavor. its still not quite like dripping on my lr306 but the flavor is surprisingly good. I am a waffle junkie and all 3 that I enjoy tasted good in these cartos.

My only complaint is the black mouthpiece. I really wish it was slightly beefer as far as the piece that you put into your mouth. Maybe I will get used to them, but I prefer the one that comes inserted in the carto, plus when you put it back in, I feel it pushes the cup cap on right where it should be, without forcing it down so hard to pinch off the wick.
I also feel that the pipettes, although a nice thing to have around, is not necessary to fill these. If you have to take all the seals out, its just as easy to use a juice bottle to fill, as the pipette doesnt really fit down into the chamber because its too big around.

Overall, I am pleased, and really appreciate not having primer to wash out.

I feel my success is by replacing the cup. Those filling with a syringe, and not lifting that seal slightly may actually experience more wicking issues.

I look forward to reading more tips on these. If anyone is interested in trading some lower ohm ones for the 2.6 to 2.8 ones that I have, send me a PM. I should have mine within 10 days or so.

Cheers

On Saturday, I ordered some black R4 cartos from Vaporite and some clear ones from GotVapes. This is my first experience with ceramic cartos.

The Vaporite order arrived yesterday. I removed the white cap and the inner ring, and bent three of those weird little plastic blunt needles beyond repair trying to get them into those little holes. Finally succeeded in filling it. Burnt taste lasted nearly the first filling, but went away by the time I refilled it. Same experience (initial burnt taste which finally disappears) with all 5.

My opinion -- nice carto; much better than the pre-filled cotton bat ones I've been using.

The GotVapes order arrived today. I'm instantly confused. These are Fluxomizer Clear Cartomizer, Reg, 2.6-2.8. The instructions say to remove the white piece and the inner clear ring, but there is no inner ring. Once the white piece is out, I see the sealed area with the two little holes at the sides. There is no room for an inner ring. When assembled, it's clear that the white piece sits directly on top of the seal.

Oh, well -- time to fill. Rather than yesterday's frustrations, I went to Tractor Suuply and bought a pack of 20 ga needles and a real syringe. Filling went flawlessly. I really like being able to see through it -- it means I can fill it completely without overfilling.

I put one on my PT with no problem, but I had some threading issue with the one I put on a battery. I don't know if the threads hadn't been deburred or if the tap was dull, but it didn't want to go on without a touch more force than I was perfectly comfortable using. I'll check the others before using them.

No burnt taste. Best draw I've had since I started vaping (which wasn't all that long ago, but still ...). I think the slightly lower ohms than the cartos I've been using has shortened the time between recharges, but that's only my impression; I don't have any hard and fast numbers to back it up.

My opinion -- best thing I've found! Will be ordering more as soon as I can!
