Goodnight Orachel! Did you skip a few pages? mod's been on here today.

Oh good... that's one less person I've got to worry about, then. AG is still in the wind, though, huh? And yeah, I've been basically skipping like crazy today, just chatting when I can, so i'm missing a ton. ;(

Night, Max!

Ok, so anyone have anything to recommend for a too airy draw? the design of this ego connection on the new stainless lt doesn't function.. the ego stardusts fit in the hole, but I think the well isn't deep enough for them to actually screw on. So I'm having that issue, and because of the design, the draw is a little bit too airy with some cartos. I'm thinking I need a mini extender or something to add a tiny bit of height so the stardusts will screw on, and maybe a closed 510 to 510 adapter to make the draw less airy. Does that sound right to those of you kwho know a heck of a lot more about this stuff than I do? not sure if the mini extender will work or not.

Great close up pics! I also had a problem with the threads just below where you drilled the hole, so I filed a grove through them with a small file. This greatly improved the pull.
Instead of drilling a hole...which by the way looks great and I'll do it on my other one...I just cut one of the groves that are in the top a little bigger.
Thank you for the pics!!!

no problem man. pic says everything heh and these took a few tries lol
if it has a regular ego cone on it and the top of the cone is tight on the carto then this fix prolly wont be as effective where as your groove through the threads would be needed also. if i don't need the cone threads i just put one of the little bitty thread cover things on it you cant tell and it looks great. i thought about the top groove but didn't really want to mess with it and with the side hole i get the same air flow through whatever carto as if it wasn't screwed into anything. no restriction at all. i like it so much i have been thinking about something similar on a couple of my old egos that sometimes are funny...
and i just leave the adaptor screwed into the mod all the time now. i bump it just a little extra tight on the mod with a pliers so that it wont come loose when i am playing musical cartos.
glad that helped :D

how differently designed is the top of the ss lt verses the regular one? not sure i understand why it not fit

Seems like that would make for a very loose draw. When in use is there a happy medium between stiff and loose or is it more on the loose side?

If this has already been addressed I apologize. I am in the process of catching up....:)

all good bro.
its like this. right now i got a stardust a c8 and a vision and a stone2 going. stardust had funny draw with the adapter so i did the mod to it.
now all these things have an ok draw when not screwed on anything. no drag but not too airy either (at least i dont think so lol). most of my batts and stuff add just a hair of drag to the airflow but its usually not enough to make any difference.
with this mod there is no change at all in the airflow of whichever device is screwed in.
does that make it any clearer lol
