Memorial Day has always meant remembering the fallen to me, but also remembering those who fought and though they didn't make the ultimate sacrifice, lost much in the process of serving this great nation. Sometimes it is PTS or a loss of limb. My uncle passed away last year after fighting stomach cancer from Agent Orange for many, many years. He has always represented a real soldier to me- fought bravely, without complaint until the very end. One of so many.
