You betcha, they keep the rats and other grain eating varmints under control. The ecology of Mother Nature ain't purdy but living in the country makes you have a healthy respect for it. I just think all spiders are unnecessary and should be sent to hades!

I agree to an extent on those spiders.....they need to learn their place....and in my house is not one of them
Just keep the one's that eat the pesky bugs (and don't bite us), all the others can go bye bye Wait...does that leave any at all?

I have a neighbor who kills every snake he see's. Killed 30 Copperheads around here last year. He killed a Rattlesnake last week. I can see killing a snake that presents an eminent danger but to go out and kill them for the hell of it is wrong. He showed me the rattle like it was a prize. I asked if he ate it and he looked at me kinda funny. I said if you kill it you should at least eat it. What a waste...
That dirty BAST....! No, really the snakes are there for a reason not to be a nuisance.
One thing snakes eat rodents, we need them to keep the rodent population in check.
Allot of hawks and other large birds actually eat snakes as part of there diet or food source.
And yeah I completely agree if you kill it eat it!

I know I'm sure that I said the same thing last year, but they seem to be worse this year. I swear I kill about 10 spiders a day in my house. I don't get it?! They are everywhere....in the shower, cabinets, closets....I agree to an extent on those spiders.....they need to learn their place....and in my house is not one of them

And there is nothing worse than reaching for your drink and seeing a spider on the rim of the glass *shudder* or coming down from the ceiling right on top of you. Nasty creatures!!!!

I don't need snakes to take care of the rats for me.
I agree about the spiders though. Anything with my legs that a cat needs to be tap danced upon.
Oh....the ceiling is the worst! Don't know when that little bugger is gonna drop!
